Sites Gone? Google Update? WTF

Well I got hit too. It seems like on the 14th is when it happened to me.

I guess I won't be using private networks anymore to my money site.

Sucks I feel your pain people.

I haven't done any software submission, everything is quality manual work. Build an authority sites with real information (not just MNS with few articles of 400 words with specific keyword density) and build relevant backlinks with manual work. Google clearly says its opinion about paid backlinks.

I think people should go for quality, because scrapebox and spinning days are over.

Pretty interesting theory but wrong IMO and here is why I say so. I have several sites, most use either the same strategy or very similar strategies. Out of all the sites only one has been hit what I call pretty hard, but I say just pretty hard because I did not expect to be top 5 in 2 1/2 weeks, but once I got there I was disappointed that it dropped as far as it did. However several sites with the same link types and sources either went up stayed the same or moved down just a few positions.

Thats the reason for all of these threads, it seems pretty random. We have guys that lost ranks with NO linkbuilding, we have guys with high PR sites dropping, others with aged sites dropping others with manual backlinks dropping. Unlike other updates where we could narrow down the cause this one is far different.

The site hit, it is certainly not the content, page 1 is now covered with Web 2.0's for the KW's I was targeting, no way a 1 page tumblr blog with a handful of images is more relevant than the site I built up a few weeks ago with around 15 articles and at least as 3 times as many images.

All my content MNSes are stable, but I have one CPA-based website, and it went bezerk.

It's been ranking AMAZINGLY for like over 50 keywords for a whole year, and today all my homepage ranked links were gone! So like if domain.com was ranking on page 1, it was gone! But stuff like domain.com/page2 are still ranking, but every homepage ranking is gone!

Have the EXACT same issue and whats even funnier day bay day the page that is ranking for the KW I am after changes randomly. So I used to rank #5 for my KW on domain.com, then I fell all the way to 60ish but the page that ranks 60ish was domain.com/page2, a few days later it is domain.com/page3. Very very odd. The other thing we have in common is that it is a affiliate site but I am pushing a clickbank product.

Rankings are stable for me.. My site is a service site and no outgoing links.. will see

Yep, one site of mine was ranking 1-3 for nearly 20 keywords and everything went -300, -400 in the last week.

The videos that we did, the Web 2.0's and other pages that are linking to us, all of them are ranking on the first three pages but the main site is gone. It doesn't affect me that much but still, the update hasn't helped the SERPs particularly unless the aim was to add web 2.0 nonsense to the first page.

All 16 sites still there but traffic down 30%....

Most noticable and worrying thing yesterday......adsense average click through rate across all sites dropped from 6.3% to 0.73%....lowest I have seen in 4 years.......!!

Gotta hope things improve today........

My site that was slapped on March 23rd is still dancing heavily. Have no idea whats going on.. More than three fourths of my posts are dancing, some which I backlink, some which I dont.

I just hope Google stabilizes my site soon or im gonna go nuts!

Google image search brah...forget what my search term was though...I thought it was pretty funny too.

i lost 2 sites 1 for amazon, other for review and link sales. Both I bought pr'ed.

My sites are pretty much all OK, some are up, some are down, the same as usual.

I never touched private blog networks, my content is complete garbage, i have zero "high quality" links.

Really weird, a web 2.0 link is now appearing on page 1, ahead of a competitor and ahead of the site I'm ranking. This has to be a major screw-up. Doesn't make sense in a logical point of view.

all ranking gone i worked on my keywords so hard by doing all organic work and after 6 months of my hard work start giving me good result since last 25 days and today i m totaly goneeeeee :17:

this has to be a major link valuation update. Since all links are called nodes or somthing like that and they have a mathmatical value, and serps are based on mathmatical values it has to be a major overhaul/someone messed up thing.

I lost 6 sites yesterday, or so i thought but just checked right now and they are all back at previous rankings......for now anyway! Anyone else checked if their sites have come back?

My site dropped 30 spots, though 24 or so hours later than everyone else.. I hope it'll be back

Updates are always good eventough they seem shit, if your site like mine is dancing for many months now, there is huge chance that the site stops dancing and comes back down because of these updates
Lets see what my rankings has to say about this update...

Well for 1 site rankings got little better, infact looks like all my sites did little better now

In order to get a grip on the reasons for this we need a large sample of data.

If someone has time they could create a survey and post it here.

The survey should include location, host, domain age, types of backlinking used, private networks used, google analytics, number of serps lost etc. etc.

I am sure between us we can come up with the ultimate survey questions.

Results could be posted here.

Unfortunately I am at work today so don't have time to do this.

On a side note, I am in the UK and none of my sites have changed, all looking very stable. This does not stop me being very concerned at what I am reading here.

I don't think any of them used SB, Xrummer, built tons of web 2.0s with spun crap and blasted the hell out of them. But they've done ok so far

Four of my sites went down from #1-3 to #XXX, those sites was making around $35 per day !
