When recreating an expired domain do I need the original urls?

I prefer making them relative and leave the domain off. For example: http://www.yourdomain.com/about/index.html becomes /about/index.html. This makes it easy to use on a different domain.

Yes, where possible. However for ones that your unable to recreate it's best practice to 301 them to a relevant page.
