Site Flipping 101

People make the mistake of buying a MNS, making some backlinks and then crying when they don't make money. If you keep adding high quality content and high quality links there is nothing to worry about. No adsense bans, worries about panda or penguin updates. Make it an authority site, its incredibly easy to do so. I see so many threads about "oh no my site dropped from 2nd to 50th!". If you have a site with good content and good links, you will always be on the first page.

I see where you're going because I own an authority site myself. Honestly, authority sites take a longer amount of time to rank and requires a lot of good content.

I was looking at MNS (which ranks faster) for site flipping as an alternative project to my authority site as it is still young.
 
I can usually get a micro site ranked 1st for multiple keywords, make at least $50 a month, and a page rank of at least 2 in about 6 months. I still haven't sold any of them yet though, I'm letting them age a bit. I also usually add a 1000 word article once a month.
 
How many sites do you have with one account? I'm not very keen on messing up and getting my account banned. I went to check out some listings and I realized that unless your site is earning a consistent amount, it's not going to be worth anything much.

Since you already have some sites, why not turn it into an authority site?
 
I have 3 adsense accounts, and about 11 sites on each. I already have several authority sites that get 800,000 uniques a month. I have no problem getting sites ranked, getting pagerank and getting traffic, but when it comes to monetizing I usually get stumped.

This post is probably better than many ebooks or other online information on flipping sites for profit. It provides some clear and straightforward guidelines that even a complete noob should be able to follow. Skills needed for this venture are both site improvement skills and sales skills for getting a newly flipped site noticed. Another point I was not aware of concerns getting a developers' license. Maybe someone in the know could add some tips of where to get started securing one of these licenses. I would think a few different rules may apply to different countries in some cases.
 
How are people faring with flipping new sites post-penguin? You used to be able to rank a new domain fairly easily, but a lot of those link building methods don't seem to be viable anymore.

I honestly never considered site flipping to be profitable until after reading this.

It's just something that appears to be a load of rubbish and I'm guessing so many people have thought this same thing that It allows people to make genuine profit from it haha

Good tutorial...I disagree with the point about incentivising the BIN though. To me, that just tells the potential buyer you site is crap, so you have to offer all these "extra special incentives" because it's worthless. I would avoid that one, the rest of it I agree with. Nice work.
