This is great. Some scum bag has sabotaged me so a lot of my referral traffic and google traffic has dried up (and my sales).. anyway i thought about sandboxing the c*nt but instead I have been putting my energy into working on increasing my Facebook traffic.
What I have done is put a like lock around my free bonus content that I give away with my clickbank product. Before I used a gateway but it made basically no money and most people didnt use it. Now everyone likes on FB to get the bonus. I have only just implemented it but I am getting loads of FB traffic now. Its great! SAles are up too.
I also use I like Viral which pops up (similar to the OP) about 10 seconds in and asks for a like. It might be a bit annoying but it doesn't seem to be having a negative effect.... in fact quite the opposite.

I think very few techniques you find on BHW and other places genuinely work very well, but this is one of them.
So long as you get some organic traffic and you have something users can like your content for, then this will do well. You're also getting very targeted and high value likes from it too.

You can try "I like viral", it has WP (plugin) and non-WP version.

Hey I've got kind of a twist on this method, I've checked out both the likelock and ilikeviral plugins and noticed something even better: While the likelock plugin is perfect as a content lock, it only gets "likes" which only show up on the visitors facebook wall and in their "info" section (even less viewed).
However, the ilikeviral plugin allows you the option of them "sharing" your link, which means that your page shows up on the main wall of facebook that ALL of the visitors friends see when they log into facebook!
That seems like it has a lot more potential, my question is: Is there anyone here who can code this for us (or at least me
)? Basically the concept of content locking is the same, but reach has expanded BIG TIME!

what should I say? Its the best technique ever. I have seen these technique is used in mostly song/ video related sites. Really thanks for sharing. and I am going to use it in my new WP site.
