In OP's case the content itself is FB credits, so people who don't use FB won't be his users. I don't mind & be worried if the users don't click on like, because after all it's a free content given to them.
 
Hey guys, i've lost the plugin and can't find it again. Instead of looking for it my developer partner has written a new like-lock from scratch whcih we will be giving away for free once the website is launched. we'll also be creating and giving away a lot of plugins which you may find helpful.

I'll post the download link once it is complete. It should be really helpful to you guys.

You can convert a wp plugin to work with regular php websites, But it's not exactly a 2 minute task. Theres are a few free scripts out there that do the same thing for non WP's website that work the same way.
 
Is this against FB's TOS?

Our site is an authority site, and we don't know if there is any risk for using this method (though it sounds very effective).

Anyone has any input from the TOS standpoint?
 
How to make the page content behind the Like-Block crawlable by Google but not readable by human before liking?

I don't want to damage the on page SEO with the plugin.
 
It is crawl-able i'm sure. If you can see the text in the page source while the like-lock is active then it is crawl-able.
 
Great plugin. There are similar plugins for generating twitter and Pinterest activity as well
