Yes they can . They have inject custom algo pixells for their each downloaded picture. So if they detect you can take down. It's not a big problem at all. But for your question asnwer is possible. similar (but not much advanced) goes with ebay listings. This is why people use pixel purifiers. even that it can catch

First time I asking the owner for the price, he said it cost $750
Then I buy the API version cost $55 and he guaranteed it will works for life time with unlimited API calls
A day after, he put the price on the home page cost $100
After few days. He said my site abuse his server and he banned me
I asked the refund but he didn't agree. Then I ask him pay $100 for full script that hosted on my own server but he ask me $150 for full script, $100 is for standard version
I use an other e-mail as an other person and ask him to buy the script at full version and he agreed $100, lol
Today, he sell it for $50. I email and ask him will buy the full version for $100 but he only accept Bitcoin
I am not sure what this guy thinking but beware when you want to buy

4. Wait a few secs and it will reply your image without watermark.
