I am checking PR for 15,000 url's, and it is taking forever. It has taken 3 and a half hours, and is only 25% done! Is this normal? I am only using public proxies to check the PR, as I am saving my private ones for posting(I only have 10 private ones). I am running on my computer, not VPN. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

How many public proxies are you using? How many connections ?

That's pretty slow...but if you are using public proxies then that might be the problem.

I use 100 private proxies from squidproxies :)

Is it ok to use my private proxies for pr checking?

Increase the number of connections from Settings.. You might be using less number of connections for PR checking.

I think it was this, it was set to 5, I changed it to like 70, and it is going quite quickly now.

It's ok if you have a lot of proxies so you can use more threads. With 10 private proxies I recommend you to use 2-3 connections to avoid bann. The best solution is to harvest more fresh public proxies and increase the number of threads when checking PR.

Alright, are shared proxies worth it? Or should is tick with private ones?

Depending how many users are using those shared proxies.
For example I'm using semi-dedicated proxies from buyproxies.org(shared between max 3 users) and they totally worth it.

Get a better vps/server mate with higher bandwith and that will fix the job. Also a good server might ensure more connections, i suggest you use up to 20 x nr of cpu threads for posting/scraping and never go for more.
