It's easier to justify efforts put into a project if there is a bit of light at the end of the tunnel.

Here is my similar story. I have started my blog in my company website and posted regular content for 3 months. I used triberr, popular bookmark sites like bizsugar, spent time on twitter gone from 10 to 1200 followers in 2 weeks. Got my blog post tweet added to the the regular timeline of one of the most popular influencers. But still couldnt managed to hit rankings. Only couple of keywords made it to the 4th page in 3 months. I added cased stufies, how to blog posts, things you might be doing wrong type of posts with more than 1500 words every week. But no success. My traffic was around 50 - 100 views per day and that is only because I was spending so much time.

So its wont become easy even if you start doing keyword research, your website wont get the attention as you seek in a short time. However, I do believe as well if you keep follow all these means suggested here by other users, you will make it one day. It need a lot of time and patience. I couldnt do it as I cant give so much time to it by neglecting my main source of income. I have read so many success stories on web who are earning 6 figures per month by just blogging and they didnt make it overnight. Some of them said it took 3 or 4 years for them but it was worth waiting. If you think you are doing right then keep pushing it. You will learn more with the time and ultimately you will reach your goal! Good Luck!

Tech is a tough and competitive. Your keywords should be laser-targeted and your content has to be on-point. Otherwise, sorry but you don't stand a chance. Also, you have to be very targeted as to where you're sharing your content. Just slapping it up on Facebook ain't gonna cut it. You should try joining some relevant FB groups and even creating some targeted FB pages. Also join other tech communities (even if they're lesser known) that will appreciate and relate to your content. And give it at least 6 months in order to generate enough data to see if you should continue down this path or change directions. Blogging is a long-term process that you need to be willing to commit to on a regular scheduled basis; every single day is best, or at least a few times per week in order to gain any type of real traction.

Keyword research my man. If you can find the low hanging fruit keywords in your niche then you can target those, rank quickly, and start driving traffic. That's the best way to do it for free and with SEO.

Maybe you should. Blogging is getting more crowded by the day.
