Should i remove these chinese backlinks ?

Hello,

I have launched my website a few weeks ago, and i'm currently working on my SEO.

However, while doing an audit to my website with an online tool i found out that there was 2 backlinks to my website coming from 2 chinese websites that had no relation whatsoever with the content that i'm focused on.

So i wanted to know, will these 2 chinese websites compromise my SEO in a way ? Should i disavow them ?

What's the right course of action to take here? i would like to know your suggestions.

Sure you want to remove the 2 chinese website links. It will be good for your site.
 
Yes.. Chinese backlinks are mostly useless spams, removing them is always good.
 
If your site is still new, Do It! But if it's already established and ranking, I personally wouldn't touch it.
 
If you made it by mistake then remove it, but if you can't remove it then disavow is way to go.

I used multiple backlink checker tools and i found out that there were around 12 url to be exact, most are chinese. I'm guessing before i purchase my domain name, it was maybe used for other purposes before, i'm not sure !

All those websites have a Domain Authority of 0 or 1, one of them is a banking site that has a DR of 41.

Anyway i included all these websites domain name in my disavow file and i just uploaded it.

Beside that, is there anything else i can do on this regard ?

i think ch urls can cause damage to your site they usually come from spammy sites

Yes Ofcourse. Chinese backlinks are hit your site badly. You should remove those backlinks for safety purpose.

bet you money that your ranking will go down now.... despite all the "unscientific" advice that others provided, I suggest to do your own single variable testing and you will realize that using the disavow tool will do more damage than it will help.


only use disavow tool when you get a penalty in google search console
 
If they are related then don't if they aren't just remove them.

Are you saying that using the disavow tool can affect my SEO badly ? How is that possible ?

absolutely

no one besides google know what links are toxic. Google can tell what links are bad and it will not count it

ask yourself this: if chinese backlinks were toxic, then it would be really easy to negative seo a site and your competitors.
