Should I get this domain? (PBN/301?)

So let's for instance say my niche is "best hotel New York".
Now there is this expired domain that has had a website on it about "best hotel".

These are the metrics:
TF 2 (11 on www subdomain)
CF 15 (33 on www subdomain)
DA 37

PA 42


Backlinks:
7.1K according to Ahrefs
4.9K according to Majestic

The links are not that good - looks like there are a lot of blog comments etc build with GSA or the like.
The backlink anchors are decent though. A good mix of brand, url and other anchors. Also anchors for "best hotel". Not as good as "best hotel New York", but it should still be considered as relevant to my site right?

So my question is, would it be a good idea to get this domain? (Would it hurt my site?) I'm planning to either 301 it or make a PBN. (Second question, if I get the domain, should I 301 it or make a PBN site?)

I wouldn't 301 it. If it has spam built up on it, it could be penalized, and you may be passing that penalty along to your main site. If anything, I'd target it as a PBN site. I'd try to weigh out how much spam there is relative to the overall link profile, and if it has a foundation of solid links to support it.

That domain in 100% spammed to death. Dont buy it.

Thanks for the advice guys, I'll pass. Pity that it was the only domain in my niche that had some links build to it, all other domains have 0 authority. Wouldn't it be suspicious to build a PBN site on a totally unrelevant domain?
