Hello fellows,

I have a concern about links showing in my Google Webmaster Tool. Here is the situation:
-Last week I published 3 articles of my website to pinterest
-This morning, when I checked my backlinks, I saw 200 links from pinterest pointing to my site and this scared me a lot as this may seem unnatural and spammy ( correct me if I am wrong)
-Pinterest account was created just two weeks ago and I do not have a lot of followere
-I haven't noticed any drop in ranking yet

My question: Is this normal or should I disavow these link before they ruin my business

All inputs are greatly appreciated!

Leave them as they are. Just build strong legit links and those will get drowned with time.

Dont disavow them as you have not noticed any penalty.
Infact keep moving with some new links but also keeping an eye on your backlinks profile.

It's Pinterest. It's social. It's normal that stuff gets viral. No idea where the problem is at all.

You will get referred by many sites if your article having quality unique content. That is the main purpose of using social media. So, No need to worry about it, Just keep those links.

Hey OP,

I think you need not worry about those mass backlinks. Just leave it. As many members said, it may go viral coz of social media. It's actually a good thing, I think.

I got the same problem too. Dont disavow them, Google Doesnt treat Pinterest as Spammy. It is possible that your competitor is doing this, trying to pull a negative seo campaign. To make sure run your site through AHREFS and check if you have an increase build up in an anchor text. Check also your GSC.

Hi!

I wouldn't disavow links from Pinterest.

Why?

Because those links are legit and they've got a nofollow attribute.

Cheers!

Its social so it not particularly unusual, l would leave them if it was my site.

I have about 100 backlinks showing from pinterest on one website with only some pictures shared. Don`t mind them, they are social signals more than backlinks..

I ordered some social from someone an year ago... the pintrest links kept increasing up to thousands. One day I decided to check them i realized all the clients the guy is working on were also pointing to my page.
1000 + pintrest links and they kept increasing

Early January i disavowed all pintrest links of them. Guess my site is behaving better and its more on Google now than before.
Guess id disavow if they keep increasing at an alarming rate

It's okay if the content went viral. It's a no-follow link which does no harm to your ranking.

Disavow tool is useless. There has been several tests proving this fact. Your just giving google a list of possible shitty links which will hurt everyone who has similar links from the same referring domain.
