Hello everyone,

I need help deciding if I should continue using Ebay and Amazon to drop ship, even though the use of Paypal will be involved. A year ago in started dropshipping and I made a pretty nice income from it, but once I found out about horror stories about Paypal limiting and closing accounts, I moved on to other things.

I really want to get back into drops hipping because it's something I enjoy and it's the only income method that I've had success with. I've tried other methods to make money, but this is only one that seems to be reliable for me. I've considered opening my own store using Shopify, but I'm on a tight budget and really don't want to pay a monthly fee. Should I continue with using Ebay or Amazon or should I try something else? What are your thoughts??

Generally Paypal doesn't limit and close accounts unless you give them a reason.

If you're making money at it, I say squeeze out as much as you can, fast as you can, since I have a sneaking suspicion that Amazon will eventually brand gate everything and make profitable arbitrage a lot more difficult.

Generally you have to invest to make money. Anything that doesn't require investment has too low a barrier of entry to make any real money, IMO.

Well, generally the trend is going to be Amazon/eBay wants more professional sellers and not as interested in small or arbitrage sellers, and is slanting the search and the rules to make it for favorable to bigger sellers and brand owners. In the long run people who want to make money at this game is going to have to scale up or come up with unique products.

Why are you limiting yourself to PayPal and Shopify?

Build a site with one of the free WordPress options, like WooCommerce, then use one of the other payment processors (like Stripe).

If you consider amazon to eBay dropshipping. I can help. Just PM me. I have something to share.

i've wanted to try drop-shipping but everything i've read says that you
have to receive the merchandise, repack it, and then ship it to the buyers.

is it possible to do it without having to physically make trips to the
delivery depot? in other words, can this be done totally hands off?

You can also just dropship from dropshipping companies and its legit. Banggood is pretty good, they are from Hong Kong but they have warehouses on US and UK so you can pick items from those warehouses and they will ship in 5-7 days. Their only downside is that their tracking numbers are shit and sometimes dont work, but the item always arrive on time.

IMO this is the way to go for long term success at it, but YMMV.

It can be done, and thousands of people do it, but you have to be aware that you are at the mercy of others not fucking up or screwing you.
