Ok, the other day I had a complaint from a customer as some of you have read. Today, a customer asked why I was charged $6 more then what they paid for. I looked at my orders and on my shopify account it shows what he paid.

He showed me his Canadian bank statement and it did show he was charged $6 more. Could it be possible it was customs that he was charged? I just don't understand why on shopify it shows the amount he was charged and on his Canadian bank statement it shows $6 more then what he paid. Did the dude photoshop it? Maybe there was a error.

    Any advice

Why don't you ask Shopify the reason your customer charged?

Some credit cards charge a small percentage fee for "international transactions". It happens to us with some customers we just refund the bank charge as a courtesy and they appreciate it.

Another possibility is if your site has multiple currencies. We have a site with USD and CAD and if a canadian buys the item in USD for $50 on a canadian credit card it will not show $50 on their statement as the exchange would make it different.

We have 2 cases per year of a credit card adding the charge so we just eat the amount as part of customer satisfaction.
