Shields UP! Backlinking Method Idea: Please advise

I am looking to ad SEO to my sites that are currently being served email list traffic.

I am currently following standard white hat on page/off page SEO that can be found in the White Hat SEO "sticky posts"

I am now considering backlink building and this is what I am thinking for a long term "update proof". I know there is no such thing, however, mitigating long term risk is the goal.

Shields Up!

• Once an article is posted to my site I will let it index naturally,
• once indexed I will then copy and paste exactly to tier 1 high PR article directories, web 2.0, Press Releases, etc with naked links to money site... This will be my "Shield" as it is high quality giving credit to the original post and my site already has credit for the original content.
• Now blast the Shiz out of my tier 1 "shield" with custom BMD, SB, XR campaigns
• Nothing spun or sp*mmed touches my main site, ever... except for that future a-hole anti SEOing me with viagra and porn links, lol.

I have seen hints in this direction in other threads but no results. If anyone does have experience with such a plan please let us know how it has worked out for you. Aloha!

Duplicate content isn't a good idea, you would be much better off to manually spin the article (not the garbage spun crap you get from a tool, I mean rewriting it so the spun content is as good as the original).

Yeah, if you really wanted it to be update proof, make your shield level have all unique content. That's my 2 cents

Considering the rate of change in the IM/google sphere, I am not sure that will stand within 2 years. I am guessing there will be a need for 11 levels and first 5 will have unique pics, videos, commentary and articles ... and be TRULY randomized linking based on relevant postings && a true 'human' footprint, so save those ancient email accounts !

I am having good results with spinner chief where you spin one word/phrase at a time selecting the appropriate synonym each time. I get through 1000 words in about 7-8 minutes and the results make complete sense at nearly 100% unique. So that isn't so bad.
