Hello there,

Hope everyone is having a good day. I thought why not make a good old fashioned discussion on your worst experiences in IM and maybe what we can learn from it?

I'll start: End of 2018 I had a Whitelabel Website that was using SSL. My automatic dns redirect was turned off and my users were used to just type in DOMAIN.com without https or http - whenever they typed it in the URL bar my site would not load and they would get an error. Took me like 3 or 4 months to figure out. Lost a lot of money on that rookie mistake.

LESSON: If your earnings are decreasing always check your aff links and site functionality first before complaining :D

Now it's your turn:

Share your WORST experience in IM/Business

My worst experience was getting to know you! :P but for real, not really have anything that big I consider as worst, just the usual stuff especially in the beginning, losing money on mediabuy thinking it was just as easy as some made it look, lost a couple hundred like that, part of the game.

Worst thing was shopify holding £24k for 180 days.

4 months to go!

Haha, annoying.

I feel that all experiences are just a way of learning, in my opinion without bad experiences we wouldn't learn from them and progress.

Happy marketing all!

Once I made 50 IG accounts manually, taking care of everything, private proxy, blocking webRTC, fingerprint, images with clean exif,... everything

Then I import all the accounts from a format file like mail:login:ip:.. connect those 50 accounts on a custom bot, click start

See red everywhere, double-check to understand what happened, I made a mistake in the format file and all accounts connect to my office IP :)

Every time a method or traffic source is taking off and I get banned from the site. Building up bulk accounts and getting the mass bans on social media is pretty bad.

A client reached out to me via email seeing my guest post on an authoritative site.

He wanted his website copy done, had about 5-6 pages he needed revamped and asked how much it'd cost.

I quoted $500 for each page and his reply was 'You're very competitive compared to what we have in mind. We'll need to provide a more cohesive description, give us some time."

After that, never heard back from them. Followed up for about 4 times, to no avail.

I strongly believe asking for a far bigger rate would've convinced them to give me the project.

When PBN services just came out on BHW (they were public as fuck with reports), I was too late to get into them. When I finally did, my sites got slapped and the money I had invested in these services was a big loss. It's important to capitalize on new markets. IG used to be easier to make money in, now it's harder. Pinterest was a lot easier, now they ban accounts. It all works in cycles so it's best to get on the trends sooner, rather than later.

I think your mobile autocorrected here, you meant to say "best" instead of "worst" :D

I can relate :(

Thats bad, i never had this happen luckily lol

Paypal holding funds because, not trying to be judgmental or anything, customers on the US read the dates in the wrong format and we got a lot of chargebacks.

Lol.

That happened to me with gramdominator several times. Was really annoying, glad other tools don't do that anymore.

One of my worst experience was selling a website for over $8,000 a few months back with someone I partnered with. We each owned 50% of the site and we were supposed to split the sale price 50/50.

Well, we listed it on his Flippa account and when Flippa Escrow hit his bank account he blocked me across all means of communication.

I did 85% of the work on the site and had my $4,000+ in equity stolen.

Lesson?

Trust no one.

One of my - controversial - blogs about a small country blew up in that country... while I was in that country. Made national news and everything.

People were very angry with me.

I was anonymous, so not too big of a deal. I would have gotten arrested, fined, and deported if I wasn't anonymous.

Wow, may i ask which country that was? Or would it be to much information? Of course i can understand, if you don't want to share

Had to learn this lesson the hard way as well :|

worst experience was running big game hack site in 2018, in 3 months it almost achieved 100$ per day and then got sweetly banned.

i remember i am looking at Clicky analytics and there is no any visitor in 5 mins...10 mins....15 mins.....

i open SERPlab tracker, refresh it and all 250 kw's are red and gone.

that time my 24-year-old girlfriend in Russia stopped answering my emails after i sent her my credit card number so she could buy her mother a pair of shoes.

i had absolutely no idea that women's shoes in Russia cost over $40,000.
