I have tried this a couple of times but I got sand boxed . I have some questions though:
1. Where do you do the redirection from? Hosting level or domain registrar level?
2. If from hosting level, do you use same hosting Ip with your money site or a completely different hosting?
3. Morealso, do you allow the new domain to get indexed by Google by adding few contents to it before doing the 301 or you do the 301 imediately after purchase?
4. Finally, do you 301 to your homepage or to an inner page?

Image search is gaining popularity as a traffic source + it's always good to SEO your images anyways.
So my tip is name your image file accordingly - e.g on a recent dating article I wrote the hero image is "Why Ghosting Sucks Ass.jpg" as it ties in perfectly with the main heading (H1). Never leave it as the filename from the stock photo site, or autogenerated id from Amazon etc.
Plus if you're on Wordpress, it will automagically use that as the ALT tag and you can quickly copy / paste to caption etc.

To get a shit ton of unique content for free just visit your library, ask for old books regarding your topic and using OCR software convert it to text.
Especially for my niche Finance (not in English) I've got over 500+ articles all from books from the 1920s that are unique on the internet.

basically you want to make sure you're not targeting the same keyword so many times that you're competing with yourself for googles attention.

I don't know about you, but I'd rather have 2 top ranking posts for a keyword than just one...(just make sure you can convert on both)
