Shadowban on instagram?

My model has 2 accounts on Instagram, both with the same issue. one 500k acc and one 700k acc

All posts are high quality, filmed in 4k with professional light setup and following the weekly trends

accounts are losing followers daily (like a shadow ban)
reach to non follower's and explore are extremely low.
but both accounts status is all green and always has been.

Has anyone experienced something similar? What could be causing this if the account status shows no problems, and is there a way to fix it?

Do you have any automations set up on the accounts? and also how long have you noticed this happening? did you have great reach with the same kind of content and then suddenly your reach died?

Do you manage these two accouts on one device?
 
Same happened to one of my friend, someone might have dropped panel followers or likes on your profiles, you might have not noticed cuz of this much following.
 
Maybe it's just instagram suspending bot/suspicious accounts, and it just happened that you have those kinds of followers? They do this sometimes.

Seen similar cases - not a shadowban, just content burnout or algo shift. Try pausing a few days, tweak the format, or do collabs to boost reach again. Sometimes highly polished content can actually feel less engaging - mixing in more casual or behind-the-scenes posts might help reconnect with your audience.
 
It sounds less like a true “shadowban” and more like Instagram nudging you away from older feed formats and towards Reels, Stories, and live content—especially if you’re not mixing in the platform’s newest features. Also, if you’ve ever used bots, engagement pods, VPNs or scheduling tools that scrape Instagram too aggressively, the algorithm will quietly throttle you even when your “account status” shows green. What I’d try is pausing any third-party automation, audit your top-performing hashtags to make sure none are banned or over-used, lean hard into Reels (they get far more reach than static posts), and ramp up genuine story interactions and live sessions. If that still falls flat, unlink and relink any external apps, refresh your access tokens, and consider switching between a Creator and Business profile to reset how Instagram classifies your account. Give it a week of all-native posting with those tweaks and you should see your reach—and follower count—stabilize.
 
Go to the account settings and click "account status". In that section, it will show you if you posted something that violated any term. Once removed, the account should be fine.

as I said in the original post, it is and has always been all green.

both accounts are done by hand. has been happening for about 2 months
 
It’s because the followers appear to be real but are actually inactive or created through proxies (fake followers/bots).

It might not be a shadowban — IG often cuts reach if engagement drops or content style gets repetitive. Try switching formats (short reels, carousels, collabs), focus on retention, and bring in traffic from TikTok/YouTube to revive growth.
