You should wait for some traffic to come as they check that parameter also before approving any website.

Update:
I have now been approved for Adsense. Just after I made the post two of my recent articles had got indexed so following the advice I applied for adsense, I then added two more pre-written articles both 1000+ words and social signals which got indexed yesterday. After checking the status everything is set, I want to thank everyone for their advice and information on this topic.
