Service on BHW doesn't work anymore

You are absolutely correct.

That is your opinion, however, I am confident
that most of our fellow members will agree
with my statement (shown in the post above).

when it comes to organic ranking ( more specifically looking to rank for keywords in Google) for a long term basis rather then short term its advisable to go for quality & white hat link service provider who actually follows & knows the rules rather then going for links that you know will be your downfall sooner or later.Just my 2cent!

Just checked my ranking this morning for the main site I'm currently working on - 7 out of my 12 keywords have green arrows next to them.
5 of them are already on page 1 (just started 3rd month of service).

Also, I bought 10 niche sites last month, and yesterday they got a total of nearly 600 unique, natural AND targeted search visits (and NO SEO done yet).

sure not all services work, but some do.

To some extet agreed.... there are a few crappy SEO providers on here. Again White Hat SEO is the way to rank number one by organic search.

It's not about avoiding banhammer, it's about how fast can you rebuild your database after you get hit by it.

Almost every service on BHW claims to bypass Google and can beat Google's updates. However, it proves not to be so. I tested a few websites on several packages with different providers and when Google updates come, all dropped and got de-indexed. Some did retain their rankings but were within top 50 - 100. Every provider that i purchased from and spoke to tried to shift the blame and said it was because of this and that and most lied that they have a few hundred clients and most of them are still ranking well .

One of the provider actually gave me a link to his entire account accidentally (Website Bug) and i saw all of his campaigns and he didn't have a few hundred clients (He claimed he had 500) but < 20. Other than 1 or 2 campaigns, the rest were doing very badly.

Thus I assumed that the providers on BHW are usually lying out of their teeth (which i won't blame) to get more customers and that buying service on BHW is no longer the way to go. A PBN is more like it , i guess and of course, white organic methods

Hey rayee, I am sorry to know that you had a bad experience with some BHW sellers.

Let me start with my earlier journey to BHW. I had bought few services back in 2009. I didn't get great results, but I was given what I was told. Was I pissed like you, hell yeah. I thought with this service I can rank my site to #1 place.

Then in few month I had a overall better understanding on how SEO services work. Most of the thread is a hype, well its supposed to be a sales pitch. They will make you feel like you would go to top of SERPs. Its not like that. You need to work on the site continuously and check the results and improvise (PDCA - Plan-Do-Check-Act). Key point here is that SEO is an art to reverse engineer google algorithm. So is their any service which would work with new updates, IMO few would work and few wont. It depends on what the seller is offering.

I have bought paid as well as free services on BHW amounting to few thousand $s easily. At the same time I was also providing SEO services. I would buy the services like High PR backlinks etc and few other stuff, which is costly at my end. I pay my workers much more then the average rate. So sometimes, buying a service is cheaper for me. Like buying gmail accounts and other smaller stuff.
I have got results as mentioned in their service thread. But I pick the right services. I just don't go on a buying spree. I understand what the seller is offering. I actually get a little idea on how it would perform and then I make my decision.

Almost every service on BHW claims to bypass Google and can beat Google's updates. >>> Its really not possible. They would have a solution for past updates. They would not be able to give you guarantee for future updates. Those who do that, are just hyping it.

Thus I assumed that the providers on BHW are usually lying out of their teeth (which i won't blame) to get more customers and that buying service on BHW is no longer the way to go. >>> Not all are the same. I got a few buyers who buy services and after getting it delivered do chargeback. I have had bad experiences as well, but that doesn't mean that all buyers are the same. Basically it goes both the way. There are few buyers/sellers who do this, but I would never make it a generic statement in saying it for the whole community.

I would just end by saying that BHW as a site/community is a great experience.

Op your real problem is you probably don't know a s**t about SEO. As a provider I can tell you how many clients expect to find the "magic button". Can I pay you a handful of peanuts and you make me rich please? That is the reason we don't take every client and we don't have buy now button.

NO ONE and I repeat NO ONE can control Google - SO NO ONE can EVER be 100% safe or scooby doo update proof! There is too many variables at play in SEO and thats not even taking into account Googles tendancy to just flip the switch with some random shit! You can't predict these things, this is the game we play, I suggest you learn to use your head more and stop blaming sellers

I agree 101% with Tommy.

I don't know about the other sellers but more than 30% of our clients from BHW give us penalised websites and more than 70% come with bad link profile. That's even more work for all providers at no extra cost = less profits. Today I will teach you something - Google may penalize you even for backlinks you got 3-6+ months ago.

The usual scenario - Client purchase a few sh**y, cheap services and he blames his last provider :) Open you eyes guys, 20 decent articles cost at least ~ $100 alone . How do you expect to spend $100-200 and get results in tough niches without any risk of penalty?

You are right...there is only few really good seo providers, for which quality and rankings are on the first place. The rest of them just want to make big money.

And you cant rely on reviews. Most people write down their review right after the service was delivered...but what impact has the seo service after one week or month? You dont know, and people who bought it never come back write another review...

fake reviews and unnecessary bumps by so called REPUTED SELLER , yes-yes , the market place is awesome place.

I spend thousands of dollars on many different types of links from the BSTs here. I rarely actually take the time to read the BST and scroll down to see what I am getting. I care about types of links and quality of links, not the bullshit.

THIS!

But even then sometimes you are mislead.

I have been hand picking low volume but "high quality" services and I have to say, I am pretty underwhelmed.

I am not saying they dont work, but the execution on most of these service leave something to be desired.

Just be picky and leave HONEST reviews, there are alot of Bullshit reviews out there or at the very least, people leaving reviews that have very low standards IMO.

I was so disappointed I wrote a mini rant about it a little bit back- http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...ride-your-work-what-happened.html#post6111583

the biggest problem i have with marketplace is that if the review is negative enough all the seller has to do is refund and the review gets removed by a mod, thus people with crappy services get glowing reviews by getting negative honest reviews removed

I'm not sure were you are getting this from? Its just not true. The ONLY time a mod will remove a comment from a BST is if the person commenting is not a client or not interested in buying (thread hijacking), if its a client with a genuine concern a mod won't remove it refund or no refund a seller can't have it removed, only the client could remove it.

there are examples when negative comments are removed, reason given is "YOU GOT THE REFUND, NOW SHUT UP." the client have every right to give a negative review after getting the refund.
