This is a little bit of a rant and this is not JUST online but it is especially online.
I am finding more and more people are either delivering work late, mediocre at best quality work, work done incorrectly etc...
I honestly cannot remember the last time I bought a service and got MORE than what I bargained for. No, I am not talking about more as in links (which are automated anyway most of the time) but more in the terms of the quality of service not just meeting but exceeding my expectations. To be honest I would be happy if my expectations were simply met 90% of the time.
I buy a lot of services based on reviews, both here and what people I know in the real world say. Sometimes I wonder if people are outright lying, are getting different quality of work (for good reviews), or if they are just fake. Because I find when I buy it is no where near the quality that I was led to believe by the reviews and the advertising.
Sometimes I wonder what happened to real professionals that actually take pride in what they do instead of hustling for a quick buck.
Maybe I'm just to old school. That must be it.
