SERPBOOK inaccurate

We have had some minor problems with the rankings over the past week and this was caused due to our proxy provider's datacenters being down - however this has now been fixed and SerpBook should be running accurately and on time again!

Anyone else using SERP Book?

I signed up about a week ago, and I can't rely on the stats.

I have 10 keywords in the Top 10, and 6 keywords in Top 20, and their stats are regularly off for about 50% of my keywords, sometimes by 30 - 100 places.

I emailed support about this and heard nothing back. Anyone else experienced this and what would you recommend as a more accurate service?

Hi, we have replied back to every email sent to us - so either you received a response or you sent us an email while we were transferring servers. Please PM me your email address and I'll look into your account for you.

We have responded to every email sent to us and you claim you never received a reply - I just want to double check for you. Our ranking results are dead on accurate.

thanks

I have never used SERPBOOK but how are you verifying their inaccuracies? I have met a lot of people claiming inaccuracies in rank trackers that were checking ranks in a browser that had personal data stored which then brought up personal results earlier than they actually were.

Not saying that you are doing this but it is something to be aware of as I have encountered even advanced IMers who sometimes make this mistake.

I always verify my rankings by checking them in a fresh instance of an incognito window.

You are completely correct - many of the users reporting inaccuracies are checking their ranks while logged into their Google account.

Google rankings are somewhat erratic, Yahoo and Bing don't seem to ever get updated.

Hi, Yahoo & Bing rankings are updated only once a day (at 12am).

Yeah, it's awful. It's monthly searches are even way off.

The monthly searches data cannot be "off" because the data is straight from Google. Please make sure you know how to use their Keyword tool (exact searches, no country restrictions).

I use it and its spot on. The reason your numbers bounce is because serpbook connects to various google datacenters and depending on which server they pull from will depend on your ranking.

I could be wrong. But im pretty sure thats the deal.

Hi, that's correct - since we have hundreds of IP addresses, SerpBook will connect to several different datacenters throughout the day and it may report back more updated results.

Just wanted to come in a say that I actually purchased this from a different forum a few months ago and it has been one of the best investments I've made. Before I was tracking with Market Samurai which required manually running the software every time I wanted to update the rankings then I switched to SEscout and was with them for a few months before finally having to cancel due to incredibly inaccurate results and problem after problem.

Thanks for your feedback!

I was literally going to get myself a serpbook account but found this thread... this made me go "hmmm".

Hi, I would love to offer you a free trial account so you can see how accurate SerpBook is. Please let me know!

I use SerpBook, my SERP's are showing +-2 of actual position.

I've tried SerpFox, Micro, Serpbuddy etc. The last one I tried is SerpBook. It's not as "pretty" as some of the others and there are a few quirks here and there but the customer service is amazing. We've sent them emails requesting various features and every single one of the features was implemented. That's unbeatable.

I find it to be as accurate as any of the other ones I've tried. The problem is you shouldn't be staring at Daily updates. Your best bet is to monitor daily but rely on what's displayed weekly. You will just push yourself to insanity watching the daily dances, regardless of which rank tracker you prefer.

Thumbs up for SerpBook.

SerpBook has had some inaccuracies in the last week, but usually it is pretty good.

When it comes to ranking inaccuracies, Serpfox takes the lead. I have never seen a more inaccurate ranking display. its almost like they just make up the numbers.

All online SERP trackers tend to be inaccurate from time to time, but after trying multiple services, I have found that SerpBook is the best (in my opinion). Their service is very fairly priced and the alerts feature is very handy.

I used the contact form on your website. No you didn't respond at all.

I use hidemyass to search and verify my rankings are correct. And they always are.

Only issue I see sometimes as of late are my backlinks show as 0 for some keywords. Kinda odd?

I just bought it and tried it. Pretty accurate with slight off (1-2 spots but pretty normal).

I think the off estimation are because of the people who are searching while their Google accounts being logged in or their cookies being unrefreshed. When I check manually, I use a different browser.

SERPBook is pretty accurate in my opinion (compared to other serp trackers).

i think serpbook's MS(monthly search) is a little useless since they are using global data, and i dont know how to track US ranking, i am confused with the "region" options

Innacuraccy from serpbook could have come from the proxy, and that you cannot really control it.
Looks like a nice product, price is really decent.
So decent that I guess I'll leave my tracking script off the web.

How does Serpbook compare to Serpfox?
According to users above, Serpfox seems to be more accurate and better? Thx

I would also like to know about serpfox if anybody has any input on it.

I currently use serpfox and I have had no issues with it. Rankings have been 90%+ accurate for me. You have to remember your rankings can fluctuate heavily especially if you're doing heavy link building. Sites can jump around every hour and serpfox updates every 4 hours. So far I am very pleased with them. Although, I may end up going for serpbook for the client login and exporting capabilities. Serpfox extremely lacks in this department.

Hope that helps.

Ive recently developed a private SERP tracker and one of my best programmers spent much of his time figuring out how to accurately track rankings. He has done so successfully but there is no question, Google does not want us tracking our website progress. I will be giving my SERP tracker out 100% free in the very near future.
