Site Owner: Why isn't our SEO working?
Me: You really wanna know?

Site Owner: …Yes.
Me: Alright then.

rolls up sleeves

I got this same question during a recent SEO strategy call.

And here’s what I told them:

You’re not doing SEO.
‍You’re just optimizing metadata.

You’re not creating helpful content.
You’re stuffing keywords in pages no one reads.

You’re not earning trust.
You’re chasing rankings with no value behind them.

SEO doesn’t fail because of Google. It fails because companies treat it like a checklist, when it should be a conversation with your audience.

If you want rankings and real business results, you need to:
✅ Publish valuable content regularly
✅ Focus on user intent
✅ Build genuine backlinks
✅ Fix technical issues early SEO works.

But only if you actually do the work.

Would love your feedback on this does it resonate?
