Hi

I am interested in offering SEO services with payment via paypal but I have learnt recently that paypal now has buyer protection for intangible items/digital services. This means that buyers now have 180 days to file disputes for these kinds of digital services if they were not as described etc.

This has the potential to become a fu**ing nightmare as chargebacks and refunds can come easily and many will abuse this. What other payment gateways are best as an alternative? It sucks because paypal is very convenient.

Stripe is a merchant account, and you can use them if you have shopify, or setup 3d party integration

People really tend to abuse Paypal Protection program. If Stripe is allowed in your country, go with it.

When you provide "Real Valued" Service you should not Scared about the PayPal 180 Days Policy.

Agreed however there are some people that want things for free and will dispute anything.

Offer quality and chargebacks are minimal... you'll still get the moron that charges back for one reason or another that is not valid as that is part of how things go online.

Those offering Stripe as an alternative do not understand that the same 180 day period for chargebacks are still in play so that won't make any difference if you use them as an alternative.

You should have Solid Business TOS. And buyer must agree that to buy your service. So PayPal should not be Problem.

Yah you should make a TOS as @K.H.R mentioned and refund policy so that if disputes occurs you can solve that with paypal.

Terms and Services are the best way to handle but again 180 days is just an stupid decision for digital goods and services, Paypal have too much monopoly on payment processing.
