Hey Guys,
I have a question about SEO on a images site.
I have read a lot about doing on-page SEO by putting relevant keywords in the content, having 1000-word articles, etc.
But on my site h**p://lolposter [dot] com there are only funny pictures and no content at all. So how can I do on-page SEO on this site apart from the title and the meta tags. I cannot put any related H1s or articles. Please help.
Thanks.

You don't need too much text for seo, cuz people only search for some generic keywords like funny pictures, troll, etc. to reach your site. You need some backlinks that rank high for those keywords.
You should focus on social sharing. You need visitors that check your site once in a while, without searching your site.

if your using wordpress you can find a plugin

Alt tags/ Filenames should be used as keywords. And you will need social traffic - FB, TW, Reddit etc.

While text does help with SEO of a certain page, it's not necessary. You can still optimize the image title and description, right? If using WP, NextGen Gallery is great for that. If you're not adding the images yourself- users do, then there should be enough user engagement to make your site valuable. Using Disqus for comments is another good way to engage and socialize your image based site, and you'll definitely want to use Pinterest too.

I think facebook comments can also be used here, and will pinterest really work on a fun niche?

Disqus connects with Facebook too, which really helps. And I believe Pinterest is good for anything images.
