Interesting, thanks for the share. I think I'm lacking on the "publish how to"-content.

The content still the king.
search engines wanna happy visitors (clients) if you align with this you will see the green

Dude this thread alone taught me more in the past year than anything else.. I needs to focus more on longtails. Conversion rate can be way more important than search volume, and it's easy to forget.
thats why we need to have a CRO section I dont understand why CRO section is still not there on this forum

Final thoughts.

Plan your strategy well, your keyword research is so important from the outset.

@MisterF

Not looked as I'm being lazy but is this from 2020 data or 2019?

ALSO, have they done something similar in the past or annually to compare or is there any other similar data to compare to (although imagine would be hard if the pool sample size changes) but might give further insight on trends or if things do change year on year or stay the same - regardless of what goes on with updates!

Can confirm the long tail performs WAY better! I think it's a better strategy to aim for using an eCommerce site and works well for consumable items/products as the customer is either replacing or knows what they want.

I've also found the customer base coming from long tails has a better understanding of the product so customer support pressure is eased that's how I started out!

Longer content gets more views and shares too.

Average reading time is around the 3 minute mark.

How many words does an average person read in 3 minutes? if it's less than 2k-3k words, maybe it's better to write exactly to fit the average.

Average joe only reads 300-600wpm, if your a good reader its not hard to get up to 2000+

ide probably guess after covid that 3mins might be more as
people spend more time at home
I don't think so since most people like to see videos than read but i can be wrong

Wow, there's a significant improvement, for longer contents to get viral. I should use more than 3k words articles more often. Thanks for this great share.
