Hi everyone.
I'm doing the SEO of online shop and with every product, I write some keywords, I write mainly in Armenian but I know that 70 % percent of my target audience isn't searching in Armenian, they could type with English letters but Armenian words.
My question is. Should I write the keywords also with English letters but Armenian words? Do Google understands what users mean in English letters or I need to write them?
F.e գնդակ - gndak

Product pages are difficult to optimize for Google because of the risk of duplicate content. I did a quick search for "gndak" on Russian google set to the Armenian language and this word "գնդակ" was highlighted. This indicates that google is able to pick up on "gndak" being the same as "գնդակ" which is the proper transliteration of the word.

To answer your question, you should be fine either way. I would recommend writing in just Armenian. Do not write both ways. Google may treat this as duplicate content and it will harm your site.
