Selling directly through Email lists

Hello! I want to create a digital product in a specific niche and then directly promoting it to peoples' emails. I am not sure if that is called cold emailing or something else. For example, I want to create a weight loss guide pdf and mass emailing women that have previously showed interest on same niche products. So I need email lists for various niches. Is there any way that I can find them for free as I'm just starting out? Has ever anyone tried it?

Free email lists tend to be very low quality, lots of unused emails. It would be much better if you create your own list or if you at least invest in a premium list from a decent seller here.

Do you know where can I find these email lists? they might be crappy emails, but I still want to give it a try. Creating a newsletter to collect emails is a good idea, but would it work on any niche? And how can I promote signing up to my newsletter?
 
Yes, that’s cold emailing, but sending unsolicited emails can affect deliverability. A better strategy is to grow your own email list using social media ads, landing pages, SEO or content marketing to attract organic sign-ups.
 
Free quality is poor; you can use social media for promotion.
 
It's a good method for B2B oriented offers, where the one getting the mail perceives it as a legit email sent to them with a business offer of some sort (media parternships, influencers, or any business partnerships if framed right to be honest)

The low end of this is sending a services offer, if done right, this can still work (with the most saturated niches, that still can land clients with this method, being SEO and SMMA's)

Mass spamming with B2C offers, especially while providing low effort and value at the other end, is just pure trash and wastes everyone's time (it can be profitable if you are locked in, but its focus better spent elsewhere in that case)

Kinda not.

The sellers here selling mostly complete garbage and exactly like you said "unused emails" and obviously overpriced. Imagine buying Apollo leads here from a seller asking like $10 per 1k while the entire Apollo database was leaked multiple times.

Free list will not work. You should buy new active email list from reliable sources.

You can scrape millions of emails from Google search, and it works well. I'm testing this approach on one of my new projects. Tip: Follow a sales funnel strategy when emailing.
 
Cold emailing’s a gray area, better to focus on email marketing with a targeted list that actually opted in!
 
I think free mailing lists won't be very useful. try to create a landing page and collect a subscriber base yourself. And already to carry out mailing to this base.

I don't think it will gonna worked with low quality emails list

Free email lists are useless.
 
Most of the cheap (or free) email lists out there are total garbage. You can share your product on niche forums, Reddit, or FB groups where your target audience hangs out.
