Hi everyone,

My Search Console click graph is going a bit crazy jumping from 20 to 40 clicks from the beginning of May.

The problem is, although the clicks are good comparing from before May, I've noticed my website traffic reduced a lot from the last month (the click graph doesn't reflect that because it's kind of steady on 20-40 clicks).

What do you guys think would be the "problem"? Any google sandbox thing, or whatever?

Thank you for your help and inputs.

sandbox only happens for new sites and it happens within the 1st week. Your site had already gotten traffic for an year, so sandbox is out of question....

The explanation for losing traffic could be either google penalty or people outranking you (I tend to believe it's the 2nd option).

But the clicks doubling while the traffic going down makes no sense to me and I don't know how to interpret it. Maybe someone's so bored that they're having fun clicking on your links (with bots, of course)... or maybe you've hired microworkers but you didn't give them proper instructions and now your GSC registers the clicks but not the traffic because there's none....

Hard to say what the reason for double clicks is but it looks like bots at a first glance...

Hi @tazarbm thank you so much for your inputs, I appreciate it.

Review your recent content updates or changes. Content that isn’t as engaging or relevant can lead to reduced traffic even if clicks appear stable.
