[SCRIPT] Shortener with iFrame and any code you like - Gauging interest, will release free

Hi,

I have created a plugin for an open-source link shortener (Yourls) so it does the following:

You insert Long Url, it creates Short Url.

When the Short Url is visited, what is displayed is the Long Url page in an iFrame, and a Content Locker.

At the moment, I'm displaying a locker which is called via javascript, as Content Lock Pro (The Next Generation of Lockers, available here in BST) is my product.

However, in "your" plugin, you could call any javascript you wish, allowing you to do ALL SORTS of things.

Fast ideas which come to mind...

1. If you have CLP, operate your shortener, get people to shorten links, but "disable" the locker within CLP. Once links are popular and in use, "enable" the locker.
2. If you don't have CLP (why haven't you got it yet? ), do as step 1, but deactivate the plugin until things are popular, and then, activate it.

They're just the easiest uses for this, but, we're BlackHatters here, surely there is no "box"?

Anyway, as the title says - post replies mentioning whether or not you want this (will be a "free" release, in the spirit of "giving back" to BHW), and, of course, post what your own thoughts are for possible uses.

Inspiring posts with methods which would use this plugin, and which would be helpful to others, will find a copy of the plugin in their PM inbox, as a direct Thank You from me

Dude, I can think of so many evil ways to use this. It should def be a release for Jr VIP though.

Thanks for the comments! I haven't posted it yet as I want the "people above" to see it first, and decide what should be done. I'm happy either way, but can't place it in Jr VIP myself as I'm not a Jr VIP (more due to a low post count than to a lack of willingness to donate ).

In the meantime, whilst it's "in the open", so to speak, feel free to expand on one of your "evil uses", and you may just find that copy in your inbox!

The initial "plan" is to get you thinking and posting. It's cool to see the interest, but sharing something useful is what will get you a copy.
I'll possibly release it later in the downloads section anyway, but I wanted to see people sharing ideas first...

So, if you like the idea, hit the "Thanks", but stop the "thanking posts" and let's leave the area clear for some useful sharing posts

Maybe you can add a way to track the traffic on the shortened URLs?

You, myniche, are getting it FIRST!
Given that you are the ONLY one so far who has even bothered to compile a suggestion.
The traffic IS tracked, by default, by the shortener script I'm using (which is open-source, and free).
There are a bunch of other things that can be done with it, via freely available plugins (auto-shorten WP post links, auto-tweet shortened links, etc), and I'll also release future enhancements to it.

It's a bit disappointing to see the lack of input on this thread, I can think of over a hundred ways this can be twisted into methods (PPI/Adware folks, think drive-by installs, downloads, hint, hint), and am struggling to accept that no-one has posted a single twist yet, lol

Now, for a bit of rare honesty, always a nice trait:

90% of the methods and twists I share will involve the use of Content Lock Pro for maximum profit. It IS my product (shared via partnership with Meathead1234 and Bryanon), after all, and therefore, I'm concentrating on locking methods.
However, that does NOT mean that this can't be used for a MULTITUDE of other things (see the hints above), nor does it mean that ya'll shouldn't be sharing new spins and twists you come up with

using such a plugin. I just happened to pick up CLP too ... some ideas?

Easy one is mass uploading. One could consider using clickable video links
using the shortened URL w/ a fake play button on your blogs /sites. For
example, they are sent from YT to your site for the juicy 'part 2' or what
have you, to your clickable vid link. Might want to search for 'Viral Vid
Hijack' and combine this whole idea into one badass cash machine .....

... and don't forget about torrent file passwords either guys

i would love to share but talking about such things here will result in a ban.

I would use this on Youtube traffic. Comment spam em, sending em to a video page with this script installed + CPA locker.

"Please complete 2 of the free offers below to watch this video without advertisements."

Hahaha.
