Recently there have been a handful of "Screw Thy Neighbor" threads posted here and it is a little disconcerting. STN was a card game I played back in college (I was not real good at going to classes) where you would turn things around on the guy to your left or right and basically screw them so they could not win the game.
Recently we have had a guy that wanted to take advantage of proxies to click on ads (clickjacking), another guy that wanted to implement malware to generate leads for a CPA offer and who knows what else is being put out that is producing bad Karma for the community and for the internet marketing industry as a whole.
Blackhatworld is not a place to figure ways to screw the next guy by stealing via click jacking, putting crap on another's computer without them knowing or any other negative event where you are the creator or are a part of the genesis of that event. It is not here for you to promote that kind of activity either.
BHW is a place where you learn to "game" the system. Find the loopholes in the system so that you can take advantage of those loopholes without Effing your fellow man.
BHW is a place to learn and share tools that can work those loopholes for you with minimal effort.
BHW is a place to learn and share methods on how to make a buck in the online or internet marketing world.
BHW is a place to learn and methods to promote your business offline in an ethical way.
BHW is a place to get or give advice on a variety of other things that wold have a positive impact on one's life.
BHW is a place to recommend quality service providers.
We find work arounds, Folks, not screw arounds. We figure the way to "Beat the system" and to work smarter and not harder and do it in an ethical way.
Remember that you are business men and women and that you are in an industry that is suspect to many to begin with and that it is important, just like any industry, to maintain a certain level of ethical behavior so that the world sees the industry as a legitimate one.
In business you never talked badly about a competitor, you never do something to drag down your industry as a whole and you do what you can to keep your little corner of the world clean. It is proper and right that one promotes the industry in which they are making a living and try not to be responsible for bringing dirt upon it.
If you sold a food product (and I did for years) you would not say how bad the competitor's product was nor would you say that you were the only one that had a good product. You would not promote your business by stealing from others in the same industry nor would you use "scare" tactics (malware in our industry) to get one to purchase from you.
You would be sure that the world knew that you were ran a clean business in a clean industry because yo want that business to be successful as well as sustainable. Sure, you can be successful and be a jack wagon but you will not have a sustainable business model and successful without sustainable is nothing to write home about.
Let's be sure to keep our focus on the positives in the industry and maintain the ethics that will cause our industry, the internet marketing industry, to continue to grow so that we can bank for years to come.
