Hi,

well i thougt AVG protect me also...but...
my bank account was phised....result the bank recognized it and all transactions were on hold as a safety option. It took me some time
to get it running again.

Im just scanning for some trojans... avg i have and spybot S&D...

I will use the scrapebox scanner from now on too....

When you guys say using SB might get the system infected, which of the following actions below are you talking about?

1. Gathering/Testing proxies
2. Generating Keywords
3. Finding URLs
4. Checking PRs
5. Posting Comments
... others

I assume ony 5 will get you infected right? If I only need 1-4, should I be careful and use VMWare?

I have a couple of SB licenses and one of them is running inside a virtual machine on my PC.
I have a backup copy of that VM and whenever it gets too messed up I delete it and replace it with the clean copy.

Just remember to make a backup of your project files regularly to your main PC.

Lol I just run windows in a separate partition so when it gets infected I switch to linux and have fun cleaning.

I'm quite sure that private proxies will not help you.

No, they won't help as the proxy is just another computer that passes thru your traffic and is only used to hide your real IP address.

The best thing is good antivirus and a virus scanned backup of all important files so that in case something really bad happens you can just wipe the machine or VM.

I'm using Avast Free edition(all shields activated) when I'm posing with 3-4 scrapebox instances from Windows 7. I get a lot of notifications for malware and virused sites but Avast block them all.

I'm also using Scrapebox Malware and Phishing scanner before blasting.
