uploaded a yellow pages plugin video, old one got removed because of the copyrighted thumbnail image. First time in 6 years, oh well. New vid:

@loopline Is there a way to have the article scraper plugin set the posts featured image? If not is there any chance to have this feature added?

Also, do any images selected in the posts as regular media get uploaded to the wordpress media library for the domain or is it just an iframe or image link or something.

Cheers

Shaun

@loopline also, can the article scrapers batch poster add images and post to specific categories?

If not, can it be opened multiple times with multiple versions of the plugin running at once basically using the mass poster over and over out to post a bunch of articles to a bunch of blogs to specific categories and such.

No you can't set the featured image, but I will ask if they can add it at some point.

As for the images, they get uploaded.

The batch poster doesn't support adding images. But you can choose a category, assuming it exists on the site. Alternatively there are some great plugins out there that auto manage categories based on content.

Yes you could run an unlimited number of instances and in each one only put 1 category to post to . Again assuming the category exists, it won't create it.

Awesome cheers :) I found some plugins to auto set featured images depending on category so I should be able to do everything I need now :).

ok cool. Honestly even if the featured image option was in scrapebox, I would still recommend the plugin. I automate anything I can, and it just makes sense to let a plugin do it rather then doing it by hand. Cheers!

Yea I have always used SER and didn't even know SB could do it until someone on the GSA forum pointed it out so going to give SB a try managing a few test domains and then if everything is good I will use it to manage the content on my PBN/BN.

I realised I already own the plugin too just crazy busy this weekend to actually do anything with it.

Random one for the images, is there a way to randomise what one it uploads? Just so like 10 domains dont have an unspun article all with the exact same image?

@loopline Managed to spend some time testing the plugin and I have managed to get it to do what I need on the test sites but I cant get it to work on my BN/PBNs as they use custom login paths.

For example pbn1.com/werthryjhfbd rather than pbn1.com/wp-admin/ and when I use the URL with the custom path the plugin gives a Error 406. Any idea how I could get around this?

It looks like its a mod security issue. Here are a few articles, the first couple look useful.

Yea I know what the error is, do you know of a way to force the plugin to use the actual path though? If I put that in it gives an error so I have to put the root in and then its as if the plugin is hardcoded to look for pbn1.com/wp-admin/ I have manually closed that off entry path off so it gives a 406, it needs to go to pbn1.com/werthryjhfbd but I haven't been able to workout how to get it to do that as if I put anything other than pbn1.com the tool gives an error.

Not sure if this is one for the Developer TBH if it is something thats hardcoded.

Oh I see, I misunderstood.

I do not know of a way to force it to look at the login path that you want. I will check though and get back with you

The poster uses XML-RPC and sends the post via domain.com/xmlrpc.php it doesn't login to your blog via the admin panel so if you changed the admin login location that wont matter. As long as you have XML-RPC enabled and accessible it will work.
