Hey guys.
I just bought Scrapebox, and my transaction and program have been verified!

I am trying to Harvest URL for the first time with elementary settings, but it's somehow not working.

What I am doing:
1. Added 2 keywords: "car", "~car";

2. Clicked "Start Harvesting" button
3. Selected Google
4. Clicked "Start"
5. No results.

Any ideas what did I wrong?

Are you using proxies? the built in scraper will be fine for the beginning

Put more words.
Also it should work at least 400, 500 results before google blocking.

Try using other engines like Bing and Yahoo. If they work and not Google then your IP is temporarily banned

Hello, I have the same error. I am using 25 proxies from blazingseollc :(

I have been recommending this quite a bit lately for some reason, but scraperAPI has a nice free plan for proxies that should help you out with trying stuff and learning to use scrapebox.

first go to settings >> harvester engine configuration >> import >> download default engines.

This ensures you have the most up to date engines file.

Next try like car or cloud on google, yahoo and bing. Does any work?

If not go to help >> show error log >> harvester - what are the errors?

If your not using proxies what country is your ip from?

Another thing you can do is go to settings >> harvester engine configuration >> click google >> Click test engine.
Then its going to run a test, if it fails it will prompt you to save the raw html. If you open it in a browser it may give a clue as to why its not working, or you can send it to support.

If your ip is from a country that has privacy laws that require a splash page TOS type page for google, that will result in scrapebox not being to harvest from that engine. So you would need ips from a country that does not have this, as in proxies.

Hello loopline hope you are doing good.. First I would like to thank for all your efforts to give us clear idea for using scrape box.
Here is my problem I used 33 dedicated proxies with the following settings all my Ip got ban in google.
1. Input with Custom footprint and keywords (10000), Where i done mistake that proxies got ban? SO that i can correct in future.
2. If i use rotating dedicated proxy with 100 Threads package , How many threads can i run in Scrapebox?

your error is that you used 33 proxies and set connections to 33, so you went Far too fast and google banned the ips

You would want to try 1 connnection. Which may still be too fast. You may need to use the detailed harvester and set a delay.

Add multiple GOOD proxies and check prior harvesting. Also you will need much more keywords rather than one

Regards

Very helpful as always :)

What would be the delay time in sec ?

It depends, it make take some trail and error as there are a lot of factors that google blocks on. If in doubt set it high and you can dial it back. so start with a 60 delay, if that works, try 30 and so on.

Hi there! I am suffering a huge issue with scrapebox for MacOS: I can't gather URLs because I get a "-1 Could Not load SSL library" error. Did you face this problem? scrapebox support seems a little lost about this situation and can't find the answer to solve it. I really don't know where else to ask for help.

Any advice will help!

Thanks!

Hi (again). Yep, I've posted comments on many posts about Mac and similar problems looking for people (other than SB support and you) that might got the answer by themselves. Fortunately SB support manage to solve the issue. Thanks for your help!
