[Scrapebox] Facts About Public & Private Proxies, Blog Commenting & Akismet

There is so much misleading information about commenting, proxies and Scrapebox.
By no means am I an expert. You're welcome to prove me wrong!


1. Akismet will block every IP that send more than 100 comments in 30 min.
As a result your domain will be blacklisted and you won't be able to comment on Akismet enabled blogs.

and/or

2. Akismet will block every domain that send more than 100 comments in 30 min.
As a result your domain will be blacklisted and you won't be able to comment on Akismet enabled blogs.

and/or

3. Akismet will blacklist every domain that is manually marked as spam by 5-10 bloggers.
As a result your domain will be blacklisted and you won't be able to comment on Akismet enabled blogs.

Case 1: You're using Public Proxies to blast your comments
What happens:

1. You might avoid the IP block (quite unlikely since many other scrapebox users abuse the same proxies)
2. Akismet will blacklist your domain.
3. Dozens of your comments will be marked as spam by various bloggers.

Result: Busted!

Case 2: You're using Private Proxies to blast your comments
What happens:

1. You have a good chance to avoid the IP block (the more private proxies you have the better your chances are).
2. Akismet will blacklist your domain.
3. Dozens of your comments will be marked as spam by various bloggers.

Result: Busted!

Conclusion:

- Using public / private proxies won't protect your domain from being blacklisted by Akismet.
- Using public / private proxies could potentially slow down the commenting process.
- Using public proxies could rapresent a security risk (your links & comments being changed).

- Your domain will be blacklisted by Akismet at some point during your first Scrapebox blast.
- Your domain will be blacklisted forever.
- Subdomains and folders are blacklisted forever too.

- The only way to avoid being blacklisted by Akismet is to comment slowly.
- Forget about big blasts and write nice and meaningful comments.
- Your competitors could still get you blacklisted in 5 min.

My question for you: Does Akismet blacklist famous domains?
And if it doesn't what's the limit "comments from the same IP / min"?

then every single domain that has used scrapebox, or any other kind of wordpress posting software will all be blacklisted by akismet, because it is obviously posting more than that, and out of the multiple thousands of blogs you are posting to, there will be a percentage that have akismet enabled, so it will be just a matter of time before your domain is banned, if this is right.

this means you can get your competitor site banned so they can no longer do manual comment on WP blogs.

thats why I'm selecting blog engine blogs instead of wordpress. They are ******** and I just found a pile of auto approve blogs !

or for the short version that me and greg and yuki and loop
have been saying for over a year

use public proxies to scrape urls with as theres nothing to
block or ban

use private proxies to post with.

Exactly. Lots of blog owners are aksimetizing each other and eventually end up removing the plugin. Isn't it great? I stopped worrying about Akismet for this very reason. My guess is all my projects are long banned but I can live with 20% success instead of 21%

Would it be possible to use HMA pro VPN ( Hide My Ass Pro - VPN) with scrapebox.
What would the benefits \ downside be using HMA as opposed to Paid Private proxies, apart from saving money

all my domains are aksimet banned.
but i still managed to get 1000's of links/day through scrapebox on wordpress.
just use brute force.

100% TRUE. you can blacklist your competitor by spam blasting akismet enabled blogs using his domain as backlinks.

Akismet is like a blackhole. once it bans your domain you will never be able to get unbanned again. You can email akismet to unban your domain or IP but it take months but usually, it takes forever .

IP ban is actually temporary, heavy commenting coming from a single IP would cause it to ba banned for about 24-48 hours.

Domain Ban is forever. I have more than 50 domains that are banned ever since 2008 . emailed them several times and to this date my domains are still banned.

The best solution is:

1. Comment Slowly
2. Comment on Auto-Approve Blogs
3. Comment on other blog platforms aside from Wordpress because Wordpress Blogs are mostly Akismet Enabled.

from my own experience i can guarantee that what you have mentioned is 100% TRUE. i have years of experience about blog commenting and akismet.

some people believe that when they do manual blog commenting they are safe from being banned by Akisment but this is not true. Even if you do manual blog commenting and exceeded the set threshold of Akismet ( approx: more than 100 coments per 30 minutes ) your domain will still be banned.

that's not all true about akismet forever ban.

If you have some other of your own blog (without footprint) you can send comment to your own blog and as the admin. You remove your comment from spam. This will tell Akismet another story that your comment not spam.

Trick .... you will have to do it before you blast the comment. Let Akismet know before hand that your comment from that blog is not spam.

it would work if you are blasting only a very small number of comments. you cannot unban yourself if you have blasted several hundred comments and above. it doesn't matter if you unban your domain before or after you blast, if you exceed the limits imposed by Akismet, Akismet will still get your ass.

I think we skipped this question. How does amazon, eBay, google not get banned?

From my experience you can ban even google with spamming. No website is safe. BUT the bans for big websites are only temporal and usually in one hour you can blast again. I don't think so much about akismet i just do the blasting and all my domains are banned. I don't care I still manage to get thousands of backlinks per day. ( I use xrumer no scrapebox and to be honest most of my domains are in almost all banlists ). If you use mass posting tools you can not avoid bans no matter what. There always will be webmasters who will mark you websites as spam. There are webmasters who mark as spam any domain from comments no matter what the comment is. I even once received an email from a webmaster who told me that my comment is great but he will not approve it with the link ... So just do the blasting and get those links.

How akismet works? No so much magic possible, right? As nobody knows and experience in terms of 100 sites or so does not really count: what seems logic?

IP-block very probable. More than X comment per Y minutes... easy
Long-term domain-block. Seems also very probable. How to avoid big sites to get spammed? Just by the number of spam/nonspam marks. "But then I could mark G as spam". Well, so many positive comments, this requires a huge number of IPs (block 1). Also, the concept of authority blogs could be used: depending on PR, domain age, etc those marks count more.

What I find much more interesting is the question: how many percent of the blogs do have akismet protection? They somehow changed their policy and blogs with an impact (visitors, pr, maybe G ranking, who knows) have to pay now definitely for akismet.

Use scrapebox on web20 and article directories and the ban will not happen.
