So many blanket statements by Debian. "None of you have ethics" for example. This is very complex subject. If you cheat (SEO,media sites etc ) to get visibility from clients, and then treat your clients in fair and decent way, and those clients like working with you, are you unethical? Or do you need to scam clients to become unethical? I've met more honest folks here, compared to real world.
Claiming we are failing in life because we have time to respond here, is also flawed. We chat here on our FREE time. Whats the point of earning well if you can't chill from time to time.
This forum is a nice place. But if mods were silent, this place would fall apart.
Entropy may be understood as a measure of disorder within a macroscopic system. The second law of thermodynamics states that an isolated system's entropy never decreases.
Just like system in physics, forum would become wild west.
(casual scientific detail)
a thermodynamic quantity representing the unavailability of a system's thermal energy for conversion into mechanical work, often interpreted as the degree of disorder or randomness in the system.
"the second law of thermodynamics says that entropy always increases with time"
lack of order or predictability; gradual decline into disorder.
"a marketplace where entropy reigns supreme"
(in information theory) a logarithmic measure of the rate of transfer of information in a particular message or language.
I asked a while ago, about his "new" plan, and what justification went into selling ipv6 at $1 (that's on top of the initial setup fee), and he says it's residential. So, do any of you think that's a good justification?
Bother reading the thread, will you?
I did, the initial topic OP pointed to was not the same, so i assumed it is a different package.
It's the same scam. Those are not actual residential ips, they are datacenter ips with fake data on a public database that is well-known to be totally unreliable and they are trivially detectable as non-residential.
Anddddd he got banned.
TBH I think he was waiting for the ban, he's been pushing buttons ever since @jazzc called him on his service.
I'm not going to pretend I even know what they were talking about when the discussion got all technical but I do believe that debian was hoping or even relying on the ignorance of people here to continue offering his substandard service.
Fortunately we have mods and members that obviously know more on the subject than he gave credit for.
It was only a matter of time before he pushed too far.
Yes but as you only joined today I doubt you would know the full story.
Posting single word responses to random threads won't get you anywhere except the same as the member you're referring to here!
- Complains about my lack of ethics
- Tried to sell me an unethical product
Do you know how many public proxy and vpn companies actually do this? Quite a few. I actually agree on this point.
I don't think the objection was on what he was actually doing, more that it was being portrayed as something else.
Ok on that point when you drink a coke do you demand the manufacturer gives you the exact recipe so you can inspect every detail of it before enjoying it? Most likely not because the manufacturer would decline your request as a matter of intellectual property. Same thing would apply here. Not one seller here would give up his source code, his methods of operating, or the ingredients that make up his product or service. So why the 6th degree with this guy? Logic tells me you don't stick with a method for many years if it doesn't work. You wouldn't have any clients. So if the method works, which I only see 1 or 2 complaints that it doesn't why blast it? Why condemn something that most likely will work for a majority?
Welcome back Debian!
Dear person that literally joined today and has, so far, only posted in this thread, and only to defend the banned seller,
Be less obvious please.
If I pay for a coke, I don't expect to get a lemonade.
I'm the wrong person to be asking, I've been casually following. However, as I understand it the seller has been suggesting that he is providing servers physically based in a particular location and that has proved to not be the case.
Check his IP
Where is it stated or even asked if the servers in question are physically in the locations?
Somebody comparing ingredients in coca cola to some idiot advertising and mis-selling an IM tool is obviously retarded!!
Separate names with a comma.
