[SB Case Study] Starting with nothing, taking it to the top

Awww man, the revenue is so low from amazon products that I refuse to go there!

Obviously it works for some people, somehow, but then I see the $40-$120 products I could sell from markethealth or another network and end up sticking those in instead.

I do make commission on amazon but it is pennies.
It depends on what products you decide to sell. You could easily get a $100 commission if you really want to. I have a site that sells a $40,000 product. I may get a 4% or 6% commission once every 6 months.

Thank you for your reply. How many Amazon sites do you have to make this? Care to share what crucial parts you feel he left out? Because I am also picking out the good and bad in a few courses and trying to make it all work.
3 earning sites and a couple more on the way, I hope to get to ~$4000 revenue in about 6 months.

Also, I believe that Jan Roos did not tell the truth when he showed how he picks his products. Either he was not telling the truth or he didn't realize that his way of picking a product to promote was not very effective.
I am sorry but I can't go into detail in this as it would get me lot of competition. I hope you understand buddy!

Mark

So do you basically pick a broad niche and make an authority site, or pick a narrow niche and just make lots more sites?

If you're doing these in Wordpress what themes are you using?

(apologies if this has been covered)
I pick a broad niche and then I look at the available high ticket product and research a narrow niche. Create one niche site and if it turns out an earner I will create several more competing with each other so in the end I take 5 spots on the first page of Google for that niche.

I just pick any, clean and minimal wordpress theme. A different one on each site to avoid any footprint (for Google but also for competitors).

I totally understand and don't blame you for not wanting to share all the details. Thank you for sharing what you have. It has been very insightful, and I look forward to seeing the results of this experiment. I already own SB but have yet to really put it to use in the way I know it can make money. I think I also was afraid that it would kill my sites, so this is good to show how it works.

What I really hope to see, is that you have been able to take your test site all the way to the top over the next 3 months and it stays there.

Single page sites?

I created a single page site for morphy richards slow cookers. I got to the first page about position 5, then for some reason it just bombed out and got placed at position 50 or something.

All I ever got form that gig was a bunch of emails from people who lost their instruction manual and wanted me to send them a new one :confused::confused:

@ Gorang
Nope I never create single page sites for the reasons I explained to another user a couple posts back.

Anyhow,
Here is the overview of the Traffic Sources in GA:

I hope to start another 1,000,000 blast to unique domains but this time backlinking to my root and inner pages!
In the mean time latest backlink count:

Oh yea, I also added another review article. Keep the content fresh!

Subscribed. Currently blasting my sites with SB aswell. Seeing improvements, will try these methods aswell.

Quick update:
Ok so, next blast is done.
35k out of 150k successful.
Ranking: n/a

New proxies, new names, new comments, next 150k urls.

Funny note: Today I got a comment on my blog answering a 'question' I asked in one of the comments I use to blast urls with.
So remember, if your comment is good enough, it will not only get approved but some webmasters even respond to it. I don't even want to know how many emails I would have got if I used my real email address.
Yeah, you got the traffic either ;)

Very interesting read. Good luck with the project!

I really can't wait to get SB now.

Maruk u try to avoid footprints but are using google analytics? Do u have different GA Accounts?

Maruk which proxy do you use?
I'd rather not say because I am not supposed to use these proxies with SB.

Funny you ask, yes I do have quite a few accounts. For every account I will manage 5 sites in unrelated niches.
Although, personally, I don't believe that Google will actively scan you GA usage and compare that to rankings or other metrics.
I think they can use the GA tool when you get under manual review which I hope to never get in to.

Yeah, I never use any adsense on affiliate websites for the same reason. I do keep all my sites under one account though. But there are some very whitehat and good sites in there too.

Ah! Today is a scrapebox day for me :)

I have an idea. I want to be scraping and posting all day, but after i've used the fasterposter I want to trim to URL, sort all URLs by PR and then manual post to good pages on the sites.

To do this i'm going to use 2 scrapebox, one checking and one posting.

I think I should be able to do this using "sandboxie" software

I remember a question I wanted to ask last night.

Do you have a way of randomly picking out keywords from the 355k list?

I'd like to be able to grab 100 keywords randomly but I can't think how.

Sorry to burst your bubble but this thread shows why Scrapebox isn't a good tool anymore.

Your #17 after almost 10 days? For a 2900 search keyword??? Sorry but that sucks. You can get to #1 in a few days on such a low competition KW if you just spam Xrumer.

The problem with Scrapebox and what you're doing is:

1. You're using names, you need anchor text as the name to increase serps for that keyword.
2. No follow links suck balls now. Google has clearly put the KO to blog comments.

I really think a shitty do-follow link will out perform a high PR nofollow link in serps now...

Fair enough comment.

But I think making a Case study in a similar manner would be the best way to demonstrate this and add credit to your claim.
