[SB Case Study] Starting with nothing, taking it to the top

Maruk: how many url's are you blasting daily?
I have detailed this on a daily basis all over this thread.

Maruk, can you PM me or Skype me please? Had a few SB Q's if you don't mind, (would be more than willing to compensate you for your time) I tried to PM you but looks like your PM's are off :) Thanks
Yeah as I just posted above your first post (you prob didn't notice) I had to remove my contact details and disable PM because I can't spare the time anymore, it is getting out of hand.
Nor would I feel right taking any money from you.

So I suggest you just post your questions here in this thread and I will gladly answer them!

Sorry for the inconvenience!

Regards,
Mark

I big shoutout to Nemsis of http://assetmetrics.org/
I accidentally removed my whole project and he instantly fixed it for me!
Thanks a bunch buddy!

Ok I am officially done with the 1,000,000 url blast to the rootdomain.
Tomorrow I'll start harvesting fresh urls and start blasting to my inner pages. I think I'll do another 1,000,000 over 6 inner pages (review articles)

Oh btw, I am getting organic searches for the main keyword and for product keywords as well. Should be not to long before the first sale!

No worries, totally understand, I know I can spend the next day or two straight trying to learn all of this, but my wife and I are happy our 2nd baby tonight at 5:30pm :) 3 hours from now, so figured I would rather pay someone to hold my hand and walk me through everything I need for SB to get rolling

A few Q's: (bare with me, very noob Q's)

-With that generous list you added for us all to download, do you just upload that entire list into SB? On the import URL list under import and replace current list?

-I am only using one keyword, so I would put that in the keyword section?

Comment poster:

-Paste in my spun comments from TBS
-EDIT: Found the name and email generator

Thanks!

How do you go about harvesting your list? Do you use completely unrelated keywords to find the blogs? I can never find that many blogs in any of the niche I scrape.

Did you mean you are having your 2nd kid? If son congrats buddy!!

As for your questions:
- No I post to 150k at the time to prevent crashing and to be able to switch to fresh proxies, emails and comments after every blast
- If you use that one keyword as an anchor text for your backlinks then put it in the 'names' field instead of actual names.
Let me know if anything else pops up. But Imma get some shut eye as it is past midnight here!

Regards,
Mark

Just get thousand of keywords to scrape withn as a matter of fact, search for 'motherload' to find my keyword thread with millions of keywords.
Yesn in this case I just used random unrelated keywords.

Yea, 2nd kid :) Going to be a long night lol

I am harvesting proxies right now, not sure if it was a good idea and safe to do on my IP or not but whatever, its a static IP on a DSL so I could always change it

Mark, so does that mean put nothing in the keyword box to the top left?

Thanks

people always fear to get sandboxed, but i believe that if you build your links every day its ok, because G will think your site is getting popular.

If you build your links once in while it looks spam and you will get penalize fo it.

Should be no problem, your IP will get blocked by Google but before that you should have enough proxy sources.

Yep, nothing in the top left, that is only need when you are harvesting urls not when commenting.

I've never had any luck harvesting proxies. It takes over an hour to harvest and check them all and when I begin harvesting URLS I don't get very many and it takes another hour.

I just use my private proxies.

SB in-build proxy harvester is not good. I recommend a service from 'proxygo' for public proxies for harvesting. Its well worth the one time investment.

In a rush so can't find and post a link. You can find it in 'proxies for sale' section :)

I have some decent public proxy sources, which take about 20 minutes each day to harvest and test but generally last me most of the day.

I assume you use proxygo service, so have a question: How many do you generally get that pass the IP test and pass Google when you harvest each morning? Do they last at least 1 day, before a re-harvest the next day?

If you can get 200+ which have a low latency (less than 800) and they last all day, then I think it would be the worth the 1 time payment.

Hey Maruk, very nice post. Read it all.. I missed how many public proxies you're using. And do you only use them to post, or do you use them to harvest too? Thanks for any help...

Oh, also, you said you do a few new comments for every 150k-250k? Do you use 3 per batch and if I remember correctly you don't spin them right? I don't understand how you can dip if you use the same comments from the last batch.. Since each batch is quite large, wouldn't there be dupes in every batch? Thanks again..

Same here, 15-20min per day and I am sorted.

No public proxies, just private proxies for posting. When harvesting I use as many publics as possible. Usually around 1000

Yeah, I use 3-5 comments per batch. Although they are pretty lengthy. And no spinning indeed.
And yes, there would be dupes in every batch, in fact, a lot of dupes: 150k/3 is 50k per comment. But I don't care, my only concern is that I want them approved, it is not like the webmaster knows that they are dupes or anything. Oh and in case you are concerned about Akismet. Fuck em.

Yeah, don't bother about Askimet. I think they only account for about 1/5 of Wordpress blogs, if that, and there's other platforms to scrape too.

I might have overlooked your answer, but how many proxies do you use when you are posting?

1000 proxies? I'm having less and less luck finding any decent public proxies. Using your video idea Mark, I harvested somewhere around 30,000 raw proxies. After two hours I've found 4 good ones. If anybody knows a good source for public proxies, I'd appreciate it if you could point me in the right direction. This is the most frustrating part of Scrapebox.
