[SB Case Study] Starting with nothing, taking it to the top

...Ive seen top 10 rankings on Google with relatively strong buying keywords within 1 to 2 months. Then the Google Dance seems to happen for a couple of weeks, before the rankings settle down again.

Only had one Sandbox occurrence with this method, was a Squidoo page which was getting 600 views a day...

!

Goodness, guys! If not for that fact that you are doing it, I would not have believed it was even possible!

Well I would say that for every 4000 tested I get about 150 below 2000ms without the Google test. With the google test that would be 40/4000.
Try searching with the 'last 24hrs' option.

I only harvest proxies, I don't manually find proxies. That would just take too much time for me.

Yes my keyword is [keyword reviews].
And yes, 'stop...fast' is supposed to be a buying keyword. So if someone gets on your site by searching for that keyword they are probably looking to buy but they could also just be looking for information on the subject.
So assuming that they are in a buying mindset, you're presell probably isn't right.
I mean, do you have a review site, or a site with a sales letter or something else?
[edit]
Oh yeah, people will buy something from Amazon faster. One because it is a highly reputable shop. Two because the product have a lot of reviews from real buyers (every review is a presell) and third because the product are tangible goods, digital good still raise some fences when someone is thinking about buying something. (trust issue)

I have 10 rules of how to "stop taking crack fast" or whatever and I say in the end something like "there's a lot more to these than that, which can be found in this guide (my product) and if you want to check it out click here"... I'm getting about ~15 hops per day out of 100 visitors per day, is my presell so useless and I should definitely be getting more hops?

Hmm 15% click through rate is not that bad, could be more could be less.
So if you get 450 hops per month you should definitely get at lest 4 sales with an 'ok' sales letter on the salespage.
Perhaps your sales page isn't the best?

When you are cleaning up harvested proxies, do you use function 'Remove Failed but Keep Blocked IPs' ?

Thank you!

Great case study. I've also started a similar type study but with an aged domain.

I don't even want to know how many emails I would have got if I used my real email address.

A LOT! I tell you that :)

I tried and I got heck lots of emails and they kept coming even 15 days after the blast :p

Probably one of the best threads I have seen. Good to see someone make a case study and actually come back an answer peoples questions! :)

Really hope you start making money off it! Good luck buddy.

Ok this is too funny not to share, my spam comments are getting answers on my blog. Also note that reviews are being shared on social media:

Thanks for the scrapebox.ini. I really didn't want to have to spend hours researching the best settings and I trust what you have :)

I just downloaded the URL list, is that a list you recently scraped of unused URLS? If so then that is a greta list for the case study i'm doing right now on the effects fo excessive backlinking.

It might be worth you taking a look and telling me what you think

Remember that those settings work for MY machine (Q6600 Quadcore, 4GB ram and 30Mb down) it might not work perfectly for your system.

Just a couple more days, one week maybe before I should take the top spots.
I hope that SB backlinks are good enough otherwise I will do an AMR campaign from Fiverr. That alone usually gives me a little jump up the serps but I will then also build massive backlinks to those articles.

Another thing that I still need to do is blast links to all my inner pages.

We'll see what happens!

On a side note:
I noticed something disturbing.
Traffic Travis says that I don't have the keyword in my title etc. IE I get all red crosses. That is not accurate, in fact, I should have all those items green.

But wouldn't that kill the purpose of this case study? I mean it's all about SB in here, isn't it?

I'm sure sales page is fine as the product was 6 years there with grav above 280. I want to try cookie stuffing, is it worth it? However, I don't want to get banned before first check (which is 3 sales away), have you tried it? Is it safe enough?

It would, but if I get stuck after 4 weeks on whatever position, I am doing the blast. In the end it is about the money no? ;)

I have never done cookie stuffing nor would I recommend it.
