No ehm, I believe this one is a 2,8GHz 4Gb RAM thingy. I am not sure because it is my friends server. He rents and resells a couple in a 'public' serverroom.
So I pay nothing as long as he doesn't need the account.
I ask them questions like, 'what theme are you using, is it custom? If it is who made it? Can you provide me/her contact details?'
I always sign off with a female name as well. Like :'Thnx! Jenni'
How big a percentage do you feel onpage SEO counts for compared to offpage SEO when looking at total rankings?

Good questions buddy!
1) I feel that on page SEO counts for 90% of all SEO. When I say on page SEO I am talking about the keyword density, headlines (h1 h2 h3), alt tags, title tags, meta tags (for a different reason than ranking), and so on. But also about content. Nothing beats unique, readable, content in my opinion.
2) Eventually I will deeplink with anchor texts that are other secondary keywords. I will determine these keywords by checking what secondary keywords I am ranking for now and build on that.
Talking about keywords, I just got a little bit organic traffic already.
3) when I hit the first 3 I expect to get around 50 visits a day (including all traffic from secondary keywords) and I hope to get 10-15% conversion.
So if I get 5 sales per day that would account for $40 per day. $1200 per month.
Now, to be on the save side, and from experience I will assume about 30% actual revenue of that ideal $1200.
I hope this made any sense.

It certainly did! I'll be following this thread from now on, thanks a lot. If someone else wanted to try a similar project, how do you recommend starting out with the initial keyword research? How did you find this niche, did it randomly pop up in your head while you were browsing or do you use any tools to brainstorm? Do you think anyone with some free time on their hands and some investment cash would be able to do this, potentially for a living if one set up enough sites?

Btw this thread just confirmed that some of the Panda-paranoids are exaggerating "a bit" Good content + good, steady linkbuilding still wins!

I am absolutely positive that this makes for a good living. Just check out Jan Roos' story.
Also, you can do this pretty fast if you have a little bit of money to invest. As a matter of fact, all you need is SB and $3.99 to buy an info domain. Create a Blogger blog with a free theme and write reviews with (Amazon) affiliate links in them.
You can start ranking after 2 weeks and the first sale should happen shortly after.
As for keyword research I can go on and on about it but there is a good thread here on BHW that basically sums it up. I'll try to find it and edit this post.
In addition to the method used in that thread I also utilize Traffic Travis to do keyword research as well as the SEOQuake toolbar for FireFox

Eugh, can't find the keyword thread right quick so here it goes.
1) Think of a broad niche (kitchen stuff for example)
1a) Narrow the niche (kitchen appliances)
1b) Narrow it down even more (food processors)
2) Take your narrowed down niche and think of buyers keywords like 'food processor review' or 'best food processor' or 'food processor test' or 'cheap food processor'
3) Take every keyword you come up with and check the monthly EXACT searches for it- don't forget to make sure that these searches are year round and not season bound like 'snow mobile'
4) If monthly EXACT searches are more than 1k for example, check top 20 competition.
5) If easy, register EMD (.com.net.org.info doesn't matter)
6) Go to Amazon and find the product and take the actual reviews and rewrite them for your site.
So, hope that made any sense I that I didn't leave anything out.

When you are writing the actual reviews, keep in mind that people are often including current year in the keyword. So target also keywords like 'best food processor 2011' and 'food processor reviews 2011.
Maruk, I am still strugling with finding the usable public proxies. I am using methods from your videos.
How many alive proxies do you usually get after testing, lets say, 1000 public proxies? I am getting 10-15 green proxies with speed below 5000 ms from every 1000 proxies tested.
You mentioned in other thread that testing too many proxies will get the actual IP address banned. What is the safe qty of proxies tested in one batch?
You suggest 10 second timeout and 100 connections for testing peoxies, right?
What proxies do work better for you - your own harvested proxy sources or proxies you find manually in forums?

How you expect to get such a monstrous conversion? Is your keyword something like "<keyword> review" or "buy <keyword>"? Do people buy more real things from amazon rather than clickbank? I'm saying so because I have site which gets 100 visits a day from SEO with keyword like "stop snitching crack FAST" (fast supposed to be buyers word, right?), has laser targeted product in it and so far in month and a week I got only 2 friggin sales!!!

Well I would say that for every 4000 tested I get about 150 below 2000ms without the Google test. With the google test that would be 40/4000.
Try searching with the 'last 24hrs' option.
I only harvest proxies, I don't manually find proxies. That would just take too much time for me.
Yes my keyword is [keyword reviews].
And yes, 'stop...fast' is supposed to be a buying keyword. So if someone gets on your site by searching for that keyword they are probably looking to buy but they could also just be looking for information on the subject.
So assuming that they are in a buying mindset, you're presell probably isn't right.
I mean, do you have a review site, or a site with a sales letter or something else?

Oh yeah, people will buy something from Amazon faster. One because it is a highly reputable shop. Two because the product have a lot of reviews from real buyers (every review is a presell) and third because the product are tangible goods, digital good still raise some fences when someone is thinking about buying something. (trust issue)

With recent changes in Amazon's attitude towards affiliates (banning Colorado residents (or which state was it?), and limiting UK affiliates' commission (5 or 7 pounds I don't remember)) I'm a bit afraid that the sites we build to advertise Amazon products don't have a bright future. And yes I tested selling products via other online marketplaces with my built-for-Amazon sites, conversion rates are not the same, really not...

Large, authoritative, marketplace-type sites will just about always beat Clickbank 100X over. They have the trust AND the best prices and people go there to shop!
Even if they don't buy the thing you're promoting, there's a pretty good chance they'll browse to another Amazon product and buy that ...and sometimes they buy both
Your partner cookie on the browser of a motivated buyer is gold. The only thing better would be a 30-day cookie life, but oh well.

I use both wordpress (self hosted) and Blogger.
I just use clean, minimal themes with excerpts with images.
I place text links as well as buy now button. I usually have 2 text link in every review. Something like: 'I recommend that you go to Amazon and check out some of the other reviews!' then I make 'Amazon' the affiliate link.

I am starting the backlink check on about 300k successful posts so that will take some time.Great thread, will be following

Tomorrow, when I get my checked backlinks back, I'll put them in RSS feeds and submit them to the RSS services.
From there on the indexed backlink count should rise fast.
Then I'll see if my page keeps rising SERPS. And in the mean while I will try to come up with a list of high PR urls to post to.
Once the majority of my backlinks are indexed I will take every inner page of those AA domains and post my own inner pages to them.

Very aggressive Scrapebox blasting, will be interesting to see if the Google sandbox occurs.
I usually do a combination of a 100,000 scrapebox blast and 10,000 Xrumer forum profile blast, along with article blasting to web 2.0 properties and article directories.
Ive seen top 10 rankings on Google with relatively strong buying keywords within 1 to 2 months. Then the Google Dance seems to happen for a couple of weeks, before the rankings settle down again.
Only had one Sandbox occurrence with this method, was a Squidoo page which was getting 600 views a day. Hopefully will return stronger soon.
