[SB Case Study] Starting with nothing, taking it to the top

will be checking this one out. can you share that 1m list of yours? hehe

this is an awesome test. cant wait to see if the "direct blast with sb to your money site" myth gets debunked!

Quick update:
Ok so, next blast is done.
35k out of 150k successful.
Ranking: n/a

New proxies, new names, new comments, next 150k urls.

Funny note: Today I got a comment on my blog answering a 'question' I asked in one of the comments I use to blast urls with.
So remember, if your comment is good enough, it will not only get approved but some webmasters even respond to it. I don't even want to know how many emails I would have got if I used my real email address.

would like to see if you get sandboxed or not for this big blast.. keep updating us dude..

I thought you were blasting with your keyword as your name? To get anchored backlinks...?
Ah snap, indeed, no new names ;)
I meant to say new emails.

This is my 1st post. And I'm glad to do it in this thread. This is he thread I need and comes on the right moment. Thanks Maruk (I also thanked you with the button :) )
I have been reading a lot and build a site around a not very competitive kw (I'm already on 25 with only on site SEO). I also bought SB and now I gonna start looking for a vps to run SB. And after that I'll try to scrape me a list to blast to. After which I will use this thread as a map to succes.
Besides SB i'll also will do some article posting which I will blast on their turn with SB.
I'm very curious about the result.

It sounds real good, I think your study is very authentic and should have a check it out.

Hey, Maruk. I've seen a guy in tutorial saying that its better to use real names instead of keywords as a lot more of them will get approved. Which is better, to blast with raw keywords and get few anchored backlinks or to blast with names and get great amount of comments approved overtime, however, without anchor texts? Subscribed to your research, thanks!

Good question. To be honest, I do both.
If I use real names, I will not put urls in the website.txt file.
Instead, I will include a url with anchor text within the body of the comment.
This will only work if you post on related blogs.

Now, as for your question as what is better, more links without (or with unrelated) anchors or less links with anchor.
For me personally less links with anchor is better because I operate on the believe that my urls will flow anchor text to my page.
This means that if Google follows the backlink with anchor, Google will assume that my content is related to the anchor.
Now if your anchor is your main keyword, Google will thus assume that your site is related to that keyword (anchor) and thus credit you with higher SERP.

Hope that made any sense and always remember, nobody can say for sure waht works best in SEO because nobody knows how SERPS are calculated.
If you see anyone claim anything, remember that they are just stating their own believes and opinions, often based on their experience.

bookmarked. as im a pure noob
so any info i can get from ur thread will sure boost my knowledge :)

Post is getting interesting, and sticky ... count me in the followers. :)

Good post - i've had great success using Scrapebox srvices found on BHW. I tried scrapebox and didn't like having to manage it, so its much more worth my time to outsource tha twork.

look forward to hearing more updates

Quick update:
May 20th:
3 days since start.
Still blasting away. Site gets 200+ visitors from the blogs I post to daily. This is good for the Alexa ranking.
Backlinks are getting indexed slowely but sureley.
Still not ranking for main keyword.

No it is 200 daily visitors. But those are mostly admins checking my page out.
Doesn't really matter for me as it drives my Alexa up and thus benefits my SEO.
