save your fucking money...

I realise you are trying to explain what is necessary in order to succeed in IM, however, it seems to me that this:

"...when opportunity comes that seems too good to pass up, try it, but never slow down on what got you there in the first place."

is in direct opposition to this:

"...People struggle because of 2 reasons, 1 of them is the tunnel vision, they're only focused on one thing & fail to see the other opportunity out there."

If you're serious about helping people, you may want to reconsider what you wrote, because right now you're sending out two different messages.

FWIW I totally agree with the first quote.

Not really seems like he's saying "don't spend your money on stupid things, but if you do see a good opprotunity and you put though into it first then it's ok to spend a little on it as long as you also paritition off time to continue on what has been making you money as well". at least thats how i read it.

I've always wondered what happens to those people who come on here, make some decent money than vanish never to be seen again. I've always felt like the admin of BHW is abducting them all, putting them all in a master computer lab, and whipping them with chains to make him money. And I'm sure that Zerofoxtrot is somewhere in that room. Poor guy. :p

Not going to lie but some of those guys are probably back to doing 9-5. :/

Shame on you for being so disrespectful to a veteran. Many vets are in the same boat. They leave the service and still need an income to live on. Some vets are disabled. Some are even homeless. Your parents should have taught you to have respect for veterans.

Yeah he ment the fact the OP said he's been the industry since 2004 (10 years), not a war vet...

OP I agree with what you're saying and I think along the same lines, I've seen a lot of friends come and go in just the past 4 years I've been in this game, most going bust with wild spending and not having a fall back of some form, always plan for a rainy day amigos..

I got so admired of the things you told here.what you told is so relevant because people are trying different and other ways to make money.you can always lean towards the niche ,you feel like comfort to handle. Being that said,It takes money to make money, every hard work are backed up with same risk of loosing as winning.

Some solid advice here mate....thanks. I think many of us have made the mistake of going a little over board once we get our first decent sized payment come in. I guess it's because many of us worked soooo darn hard until we managed to actually get a decent payment come in that it's such a sense of accomplishment that we tend to over do it with the celebration. Lucky for for me, with my first sizeable payment I spent my money on Weed, Whiskey, Women and the rest I wasted :P

Truthful words from people that have had it lost it, some that still have it. I love this thread. So much valuable advice. I definitely believe in saving, each month I leave 50% of all earnings in my interest bearing money management account. That way my money makes money for me even if my IM earnings slow down alittle. Those who save most have a long term business mindset, those who spend most have a short term business mindset.

I save about 45% of the money that I make. I work online fulltime so I dont need to send money on clothes to get to work. But I drive about 30k miles per year, its why I drive a Prius.

Dayam, someone feels like they have a really small e-penis today.

30 years of experience yet you espouse the most generic bullshit I've ever read on BHW.

First you say you're offline, when most people on here are online so you warn us that what you're about to say is mostly irrelevant.

Then you pull some random, stinky #'s out of your ass saying it takes "5 years" to build a business? Serious? You sure it's not 3 years? Or 8 years?

Then you go on muttering more irrelevant bs and refer to most BHW members as "kids" when we have a long standing poll on here that proves otherwise.

How much a person invests back into their biz is directly related to their business model, overhead, cost per customer, ROI, etc. Some guys put 100% back other guys put 40%. There is no magic number. Your advise is sub-par with most the shit I read over at WaFo.

And look, if you're really having that bad a day grumpy gramps, go put on some diapers, snuggle up in your comforter and try to take a nap please w/out pissing the bed.

Cool. Abuse, hyperbole and straw-man.

Can I take you off my Christmas list then?

Got anything constructiveto say?

?e-penis?, that?s a new one that I must remember. Did ittake you long to think that one up or did you steal it from someone else?

?Generic bullshit? was the exact point I made in my post. Its simple. It was clearly lost on you. Re-read it whilst not gritting your teeth and snarling. You may learn something. It worked for me for 30 years and continues to work today. 'That 'Generic Bullshit' as you call it.......works. But hey, you know better. Cool. Crack on fella. I'll just be off to piss my pants.

The OP also raised your so called ?generic bullshit?. Clearly lost on you ?TWICE?. Try reading for comprehension.

Have a nice day.

Common sense isn't common, so what might be obvious to you isn't obvious to most of us, you've been doing business for 30 years? that's awesome, 4 years longer than I have been alive.

Nobody said anyone will get mega rich within 12 months, or even rich, all I said within 12 months you'll be able to make a living off this, which seems more than reasonable to me. Would it be long term sustainable business? No of course not, there's no such thing as long term sustainable business when it comes to IM, I'm afraid the "quick buck" is the only reasonable approach you can even take when doing this, only way to stay competitive & relevant.

And as far as selling to American and what not, that's irrelevant, the entire world follows American trends more or less. The entire world knows who Chicago Bulls are, but BeÅŸiktaÅŸ on other hand, not so much.

Just pointing out the glaringly obvious but put across in adifferent style. Nothing more. If folk want to take it as an insult or deem itas wrong then cool. Keep scratching for that ?quick buck? because 'sustainable business' doesn't exist in IM.......apparently! lol. That is another generalisation and depends entirely on what IM you are conducting. If attached to an established 'offline' business then it most definitely is sustainable. (Although some here do not see the correlation between the two). However, If you are simply reliant upon affiliate sales, content marketing and 'your list' to sell other peoples products, PLR and other over saturated junk then of course it isn't sustainable. That is the 'quick buck' in action and I suppose is why so many (I hear 96%) fail.

This ?grumpy old man? can take a piss in his pants apparentlybut he can do so with 30 years of a solid business foundation, no mortgage, nodebts and he can do as he pleases, when he pleases and where he pleases. This ?oldman? can now afford the time to diversify to the online game properly but he will continue to usethe same ?Generic bullshit? that got him where he is today and not some halfarsed strategy that sees most broke or giving up within 12 months. Now that is the truth, you know it, I know it, They all know it.

Generalisations about American trends has no baring on my UK 'offline' business and I doubt that it will have any bearing on the 'online' aspect of that business either. I don't market to America. Perhaps I should though because they buy just about any old crap.

J????..

.

If you had of just made this point and then left all the bragging out then I'd have totally agreed with you.

It does seem a bit like the OP is just stating useless information that is already known to all.

My man for someone who claims to be so well off you don't sound too happy.

If you feel like you're so above all of this then simply ignore it just in the same sense I ignore disney channel forums or WR or what not. It's just not part of my world view, you don't need to pollute your mind with any of that, right?

what kind of content do you expect here anyway? what's not generic bullshit to you? do you want to hear the latest and freshest IM strategies? Cool i got those & I don't mind sharing, but I must warn you, the bucks are too quick for your liking. This is BHW, the BH part stands for black hat, there's a reason it's called black hat & not just because it looks fashionable, it's not about you being an old man, or not selling to Americans (who cares), it's about this uppity bullshit you come with.

As for selling to Americans vs international, oh trust me I've had some great returns on investment by promoting to UK & AU as US prices went up, so I wouldn't be feeling superior as your countrymen buy just about any old crap at same (or maybe even higher) rate as mine do.

How about this - for every dollar you earn:
1/3 - reinvest into gaining more traction on your current projects
1/3 - invest into a new idea and diversify
1/3 - spend as you wish

and where is the test of the dollar to just save?

Let's do it like this:

take 50 cents of the dollar and then divide it into 3 part tha you can use to reinvest in other stuff.

50 cents should be saved for example in an emergency fund.

It'd be too hard to say save everything and don't spend a dollar.

What would be the ideal percentage I should allow myself to spend from my profits?

I found out that I can't have much money on my credit card because I don't even treat it like real money.. So stick with cash then you are more realistic about it.. at least it works for me peace

OP is 100% correct.

My parents give me only like 5% of what I make a month. Everything else goes toward college and such

in short summed up, stick to what your good at...see 1 line does all that .

That's NOT what he said. He said not to abandon the money-making methods that have a known record of success, while trying new methods that only appear to offer more potential.
