take this from a vet, I've been doing this since 2004, I made my first real money in 2005. To anyone who dedicates themselves every day to internet marketing for a year, 365 days, one hour on learning, one hour on expanding your horizon, 4-6 hours on doing (12+ if you don't have a full time job), doing mostly consisting of networking/learning the popular culture, and actually building things, within that year success will come. Although I must warn you, if you're not hip to the American culture, it could take longer, & you're definetly cutting yourself short if you don't. That's all I have to say about that aspect. I've seen people come in and learn the game, get good at it, get rich, fall off, lose it all, & never heard from again. Because save your fucking money, it's not always about not buying luxurious things to prevent going broke, people go broke one reason only, spending more money than they should, so when your first 10 thousand dollar check comes it doesn't mean you go out & try every method you couldn't afford to before you had that money, it's more like continue what you're doing & save your money. Then when opportunity comes that seems too good to pass up, try it, but never slow down on what got you there in the first place. People struggle because of 2 reasons, 1 of them is the tunnel vision, they're only focused on one thing & fail to see the other opportunity out there. The other reason is because they continuously seek out for the next best thing & never spend enough time to get good enough & gain traction at one thing. Money's easy, but it's easy come easy go, save it, once you get it & lose it then it becomes much harder to get back, that's dangerous & could kill you. IM money is a drug, we're all addicted to it, newbies are addicted to it without actually ever experiencing it. Save it, pace yourself, it's better to be cheap when you have money than when you don't have money & it's your only option.
I wish people having BST threads selling articles could write like this. This is the style people read. No one likes:"With the advent of technology...bla bla bla" crap that most of them are selling.
I realise you are trying to explain what is necessary in order to succeed in IM, however, it seems to me that this: "...when opportunity comes that seems too good to pass up, try it, but never slow down on what got you there in the first place." is in direct opposition to this: "...People struggle because of 2 reasons, 1 of them is the tunnel vision, they're only focused on one thing & fail to see the other opportunity out there." If you're serious about helping people, you may want to reconsider what you wrote, because right now you're sending out two different messages. FWIW I totally agree with the first quote.
True. First real money I made online, I went on a crazy shopping spree. Apple, Gucci, Loui' you name it. It's like as soon as you get given a ton of money, your mind just goes crazy and starts screaming "spend spend spend". But at the same time, you can't take it with you. In the words of Donald Trump, "Think Big, Live Large".
I've been learning this man ... been doing IM 5+ years and had some high income results but bad spending habits. I'm only 21 now but it's a lesson learned for future success.
Back in 2013 I was banking really hard with facebook , now I am trying to make some cents here and there , this post was really really something that you guys should note down somewhere and keep reading at it . I had the same problem ,spent a lot of money on things that I never needed , good thing is that I am young and it's something I will keep in mind for the rest of my life

I'd recommend saving as well as investing into other money making ventures. Don't be a fool and blow your future on expensive new toys.
Tkx for your analisis izm, it's good to get feedback from an experienced person and i always appreciate the good info that comes from successful players. I quit gambling last year in november to cut costs, i quit smoking, i did some modifications to my life style and i see the results. Right now i don't make money on internet cause i don't got all the factors set up but i am grabbing info and i will put something in practice soon. My old projects : YT, Blogs, Adsense are not making money because i didn't focus on them. I was focused on drinking , smoking , gambling until i hit the bottom and all my friends run away, yes i need a new mind-setup. Good thing i didn't fucked up my accounts. Keep up the good work and thank you for the share.
Sticking to what you are good at is horrible advice. If I just stuck to what I was good at originally I would be swinging a hammer. Henry Ford would have been a pocket watch repairman or farmer. The point he was making was not the industry you choose, it was about saving money and not letting success get to your head which I completely agree with.
Just had a similar rant from my 4 year old granddaughter and I will repeat what I told her:- "Now pick your teddies up and get to bed without any supper".
