A couple of days back, I published an article with a different URL. Few hours in changed the URL to something else, and republished it. Now when I do site:URL, I see both URLs picked up by the search engine. And both URLs pointing to the same article. There is no 301 error on the first URL.

I am not sure what to do.. Is it just a bug and temporary or should I fix something?

It is possible that Google has not crawled old url after you have created new url.

Fetch old url in GSC.

Try this:
Open https://yoursite.com/url
Also open https://www.yoursite.com/url

Does one version redirect to the other? If not, that's the problem.
Both points to http://www.mysite

Hmm are you sure? I mean, don't look at the results. Just type it manually. If it is still the same, then it is just a case of Google being drunk. Wait for it, it will be corrected.

P.S. Google is seriously acting weird these days. I have a dev site of mine which I forgot to noindex. They somehow managed to find it and crawl it. Stupid robots. :/
