Elon Musk says screw traditional education, it's good that a big shot guy like Elon says this so it's obvious someone who has done it and has been through everything in life is to be taken serious rather than someone who has no clue right?

You won't need a degree per say to run a successfull bussiness.
If it isn't the money (that could make business issue's easier to handle), or a bit of 'luck'.
Then it is the mind, the plans, how far you've thought about the pro's and con's and how you would handle te con's, business twists, research, how to standout of others etc.
Ofcourse having some general knowledge in business and/or knowledge in math would help.
But it doesn't guarantee a thing. Sometimes experience is the best/fastest personal development factor.

I am not against Elon, I am against blindly following iNfLuEnCeRs. And the Matrix is true, he is a firm believer we are most likely in a simulation. Has a believable argument too.
There are enough people to support any view if you selectively cherry-pick the ones in your favour.
In my opinion, a person must think for themselves, critically evaluating any knowledge they gain
