[RULES] Posting in Hire A Freelancer

okay, my question is
I noticed there are still a lot of people posting some thread about "wtb account" in this section which is a wrong place to put it
will i get warning if i reply to them here?

Hello everyone,

Please be aware that the Hire a Freelancer rules have been completely overhauled. It is expected that everyone takes a look, reads it and adjusts their posting behaviour.

https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/rules-posting-in-hire-a-freelancer.951769/

@PetraAnn , Noted!

Can we start to report the post from Today ?

If one who breaks this Rule especially..
As we are no longer allowing contact information to be posted in HAF posts,

Even if the buyer asks for our contact information? Do we just DM him our contact?
You have 2 choices:

- DM contact info along with a link to the thread so it's not unsolicited
- leave your marketplace thread where the OP can get your contact info. It's fine to say "you can get my contact info on my marketplace thread"

Blackhatworld is getting complicated day by day .

1. Why a template for hire a freelancer ?

just say what you want and interested people can respond .

2. Why not copy paste contents same reply on threads ? makes no sense. Lot of providers will need to take more time to post a different reply to each thread though the service required is same and service provided is same .

I also don't know why my last 2 posts were removed , simply stated as " rules have changed"

Scammers are getting more smarter everyday and BHW protects his identity as company but sellers and buyers too to ensure make a real deal and avoid scams.

As a seller , i’d prefer to make business on site because noone can impersonate me and make me look as a fool
As a buyer , i’d prefer to deal onsite so if someone try to scam me the BHW dispute resolution will handle this in a more efficient and positive way , even possible recover the money back ( there are cases )

Scammers know that business that began OUTSIDE BHW are not eligible to start a dispute resolution thread so what they do? Contact me on TG :)

2- Why copy + paste content? Yeah, why?
I don’t need to copy paste “I can do it text me on TG “ and a contact info .

Rules are made because if we want to use BHW for a long period , a change is a must and a change is in process , that’s it.

That's true , lot of " i can do it , contact me on TG " on every thread also doesn't make sense but its hard for real service providers who provide a specific service and post info only on such threads. No biggie though .

Thanks

Rules for Replying to a HAF Thread

1.) You must have an active Jr. VIP, Premium or Marketplace seller subscription to reply to HAF threads.
2.) When replying, specify your experience, skills, and/or parts of the service you can help the OP (original poster) with.
3.) When making a post, please make sure it's on topic and useful for the OP. Again, there is a template just below these rules for you to use! As we are no longer allowing contact information to be posted in HAF posts, you may:
  • You may post your marketplace link in the thread so the OP can read up on your services.
  • You may DM the OP your contact information along with a link to their HAF thread to show the DM was not unsolicited.
4.) When responding to an older HAF thread, consider if the OP is still active or even looking for the service. Bumping old threads could be considered post count spam in certain conditions.

Please keep in mind when responding to HAFs, the OP might not be able to answer any questions that you have. So if you have further questions such as pay, specs, etc, you will need to DM them!

NOTE: You can no longer post your contact information in HAF threads. If you would like your contact information shown publicly, you may purchase a BST to link in your replies!

Does this also mean that we no longer can post a recommendation of another member and tag that member as an answer in a HAF thread?

So you have 2 options. Either get yourself a marketplace thread selling your services and then post the link, you can have your contact info there. OR you can DM the OP with your contact info.

This means that we're making it fair for everyone, stopping spamfest and creating contact on the board for disputes if it comes to it. So 3 birds, one stone.

If I don't have a marketplace thread for the specific service someone is looking for, how should I approach providing contact information or offering my services in a way that aligns with the guidelines?

I liked the "3 birds, one stone" approach.

It makes a lot of sense, balancing fairness, reducing spam definitely.

Then DM them with your information. Just make sure you include the HAF thread in your DM so everyone knows it was solicited!

The OP sometimes requests to not DM them, how can we reply without a BST link? Ex: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/i-need-someone-to-create-foundational-backlinks.1696711/ here I posted a reply that I can offer the links for a specific price and asked the OP to DM me for further details, still my post was removed. Whats the best way to reply when we don't have an active BST for the specific requests but we can deliver it?

You were fine. We're still ironing out the rules internally so there's bound to be a few hiccups. It's been undeleted!

I have a doubt regarding this thread where the OP is asking for sites with prices via PM:

https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/want-all-these-sites-for-gp.1696339/#post-19019348

I have already sent a PM with the price information. Can I still leave a message without my contact details, such as:

"As per your request, I have PM'd you the sites with samples. Please take a look and let me know if you're interested."

Would this be acceptable?

Thanks for the clarification!

Most welcoming rules, avoiding a lot of mess and spam looking posts.
