Researching Black Hat World Sellers

What I'd like to add to this one: How long ago did they join Black Hat World according to their profile?

It's not just when they joined, it's how active they have been since joining.
When someone doesn't post for 4 or 5 years then to me this rings alarm bells, when they then open a sales thread. Also check their posting history and compare the style of replies and the quality of the English used.
It's definitely one to add. Thank you, @MisterF.
And I always recommend doing some google search especially using the skype or telegram that the user is using
or the payment email or ID
This is another good one to add.

I do have another tip (which I'll add to the opening post): search their payment e-mail in Skype as well and see what comes up. If another Skype ID comes up, search for that Skype ID on Google and see if they've been banned from any platforms.

This has been added to the opening post as well.
Have seen some Jr. Exec VIPs banned recently (in last month).
I don't know why, but ever since Jr. Exec has been repurposed, there's suddenly a lot of misinformation going around about it.

No Jr. Executive VIPs have been banned in the last month.

@Zwielicht Thanks for your valuable post. Appreciated that.

Just for some honest sharing, as a newbie, I'd been quite careful in selecting the seller in bhw and had done whichever checking I can do. Purchased several services from bhw sellers for past few months. However, unexpectedly got into issue with one of the sellers. The seller did complete the first service, so I continued to engage him for another 2 services. Then delaying issue started with these 2nd and 3rd services, with all kind of excuses such as holiday, travel, staff issues, etc. Given ample chance for him to resolve the issue but from the way he replied to some of the follow up with him, it's pretty obvious he didn't even focus on completing the tasks, which is quite disappointed.

So lesson learned:
1) There's definitely good sellers in bhw - but some may change their working attitude from good to bad after 1st service.

2) (Just me) not to provide testi for the 1st service the seller provided as the testi cannot be removed after certain time passed.

If I am new and want to buy something, e.g. Window 10 Pro Key, but I don't have the ability to reply or PM people, how would I buy something?

You would ask whoever’s selling to send you a message with the details.

You have ability to reply to PMs even if you don't have 15 posts. Just make sure they are not regular members trying to sell.

Thanks for your efforts! Really appreciate it!
Can you put together a similar thread for people looking to sell in marketplace? It would help me a lot to know about Do(s) and Don't(s).

Thanks again!

Here are some tips on researching a seller and determining their reputation. Please keep in mind that these factors should be considered all together.

The Seller
  • How long ago did they join Black Hat World according to their profile? Whilst our marketplace staff do their best to vet a seller, a new seller means that there hasn't been as much time for other members to report any suspicious activity.
  • How active have they been since they joined? If they joined a couple of years ago, but all of their posts were made in the last couple of months, this should be considered a red flag.
  • Does their sales thread link to a website? How established does this website seem?
  • Does the seller only respond to positive feedback and ignore negative feedback?
  • Does the seller respond professionally to negative feedback?
  • How do their sales thread descriptions and policies sound to you? How do they handle disputes with buyers in their sales thread?
  • Does the seller respond to inquiries?
  • How does the seller respond to service inquiries?
  • What do other people say about them when you search for them on the web? Do they only seem to exist here on Black Hat World, or do they have an established business? Does their business seem to have only been set up in the last couple of months?
The Sales Thread
  • Is the price too good to be true? A reasonable price doesn't necessarily mean that it's legitimate, but an unbelievably good price should raise red flags. Bear in mind that your purchase doesn't just include the product and service, but it includes the customer service as well.
  • How do they expect payment from their customers? Is their PayPal account verified? Do they request, or even insist, that you pay via PayPal's "Friends and Family" feature, Venmo, Zelle, or Bitcoin? Know that these options will void your buyer protection.
  • Check their sales thread and see if there is anything that doesn't make sense. If something they say in their ad copy makes you go "huh?", then proceed with caution.
  • Are they creating an urgency to buy from them (fear of missing out)? Do they try making you feel stupid for asking questions about what they offer? These are clear signs that you should just walk away
  • Do they accept any payment methods with buyer protection, or are all of the payment methods they accept non-refundable/disputable?
  • What comes up when you search for their Skype ID in Google? Have they been banned from any platforms? Additionally, before finalising a payment, search their payment e-mail in Skype and see what comes up. If another Skype ID comes up, search for that Skype ID on Google and see if they've been banned from any platforms.
Keep in mind that whilst black hat internet marketing is not inherently bad, the industry does attract bad people from time to time. Here on Black Hat World, we do try our best to remove scammers from our platform and we most definitely do not want anyone to get scammed. The moderators in our https://www.blackhatworld.com/forums/dispute-resolution.31/ do try to help victims of scams get their money back, but there is no guarantee that they can do this.

At the end of the day, it's up to you, the buyer, to do your own research and use common sense when dealing with sellers online.
How do I add Me as A seller in marketplace

Thank you for making bhw to better more than, i know it from 2022 and now ready to build- need for my project

I'm new to this space and posts like this and others I've been reading make interfacing with IMs significantly less intimidating. Seriously great onboarding process, thank you.

Very important information how to be safe on this site. I see in market place some sellers marked as Banned or similar. Need to be careful.
