I'm sure almost everybody at some moment had to deal with DMCA.
My experience till now was fair-play: Google sends a notification, if it's real I delete the content, if not I complain.
Now there's something different. removeyourmedia.com made several meaningless complaints. For example, according to them the page about webcams contained protected anime content.
After checking all complaints it came out they most probably used bots to search Google for the title and when found they automatically filled requests for removal. En masse. No human ever checked the "offending" pages.
Of course, it is easy to explain the situation to the big G, it accepted my complaints. But now there are many requests to deal with, if they continue that way it will look like DOS attack to my free time.
Using fully automated bots to do their job is a kind of spamming. Do their customers know about their methods? If they pay for number of submitted DMCA complaints they are actually being cheated this way.
And there's one more thing new to me: after filling counter-complaints and submitting to G, they were forwarded to removeyourmedia. And now I'm getting threatening emails from removeyourmedia.
And the last thing: I found out several years ago they used to publicly expose name, last name, phone, and the home address of people filled counter-complaints.
