Remove marketplace threads being bumped on the front page

Like the title suggests, it discourages me from actually going to the front page because more than half of the posts are just marketplace threads...

Well I agree to this as well, and most important threads doesn't appear there.

They pay BHW so the sellers will not be willing to pay easily if selling threads are not bumped frequently. A good solution would be to add more pages as pagination (upto 5) so that we can skip these selling threads and browse more informational threads with new posts.

Personally I like to see marketplace threads bumped, as it means I can examine different packages, bookmark, get samples, and choose one later if I need to.

It is not fair for market sellers, I’d say no to this.

My idea: open a new user class that has this privilege, sell this for $300 a year. Maybe OP can be the first buyer?

It's very easy to say that from a buyer/random user point of view. If you don`t like us, you can just mass ignore all sellers, it takes more or less then 20 minutes.

I also don`t like Google Ads on Google search results, but they don`t listen to me.

I sometimes find good marketplace threads by watching the homepage. Plus, almost all of the sellers do the bump properly. They deserve that visibility, I would think. So, I am against this one.

Edit: and what @Razen666 said. You can always ignore a user anyway.

I agree. This is what the sellers are paying for. Anyway i browse the homepage all the time and i dont find it bothering.

Nope! Planning on becoming one myself, I'm just saying it's annoying 50% of the frontpage is constantly filled with marketplace threads.

No, I don't have anything against marketplace sellers. I buy a lot of services myself, bothers me a bit it fills up the homepage.

When I want a service, I search for it in the marketplace. But I guess most people find it useful it's bumped on the front page.

Absolutely what @Meddie said, BHW is still running and you can still see the "homepage" because people like us pay for a marketplace space.

Nothing is free.
I mean, just go to the sub-forum you like, it's a public community, not a convenience centre.

I do not think it is an entirely bad idea actually.

We are a discussion forum first and a marketplace second so there may be some room for adjustment.
