Rel: nofollow for internal links on website?

Hey,

Recently a self-proclaimed SEO specialist told me I have too many internal links on my pages, especially homepage, and if i added "Rel: no follow" on the internal links, it would strengthen those pages ranking potential as rank juice won't be so diluted.

How do you guys feel about this recommendation?

Feedback is much appreciated, wanted to get the communities input!

I would rather suggest doing accurate internal linking with a variety (mix of direct keyword interlinking + LSI's). I have never heard of this concept.

Need more suggestions on this, guys !!

Tell him to take a flying fuck at a rolling doughnut. Everyone that is "claiming" to be a specialist and can't back that up with certification is only trying to sell himself.

Actually, if you take a closer look at some of the biggest sites, such as wikipedia for instance, all internal links are do follow - but you will need to ensure that the links are proper in terms of its anchor texts - try not to have 2 or more same anchor texts pointing to different articles, etc, but 1 unique anchor text, which specifically point to 1 specific article only.
That way, the internal link juice will flow properly, and the right articles on the right anchor text are rewarded in the process.
Most external links are no followed on big sites, but some gigantic sites do not give a damn about this as well, and everything is do follow in the process.
If you find that over-internal linking is harming your site, you should try implementing the measures recommended above ^ . If internal linking is executed not properly, you will have more problems in the process, such as keyword cannibalization, wrong articles being listed, etc.

when you interlinking in your website, do you use exact match Kws? Do you use the KW you want that page should rank for?

For example:

you want to make internal link to a webpage that you want it to rank for the kw ''shoes''.... so will you use as anchor text the exact kw ''shoes'' ?
