Hello, i am having some confusion, i hope you can help if possible.

I recently just started creating citations & directory links for a website. There are about 40/50 of these links as of right now. Basically the directories and citations are just containing a link for the website for the business. What im having confusion about is this - How come when i look up this website in "semrush" or other tools, i dont see these directories/citations pointing back to my site as referring domains? Im not sure whats going on? If i create an external link that has my website in it, such as the directory, shouldn't this be showing up as a referring domain inside of semrush?

Or is there something that i need to do for these external links on other websites to show up as referring domains? How do i do this?

the pages you built your links on were not yet crawled that means.

build links to the pages containing your backlinks from known/crawled pages the bots know about and they will find them and show them

Have you checked to see if those citation and directory pages do not have no-index tag on their page?

have you checked to see if those backlinks show up for other URLs when you check using semrush?

if everything checks out ok, then you should share some of those backlinks in social media from aged accounts. that does the trick for me for those backlinks getting picked up by google and other third party tools.

I have looked in semrush and other tools. The backlinks do not show up. Some of these links are do follow links i believe.

Is there a way to speed up the indexing process?

You can either submit these links in a paid indexer or create Tier-2 backlinks to index them. Otherwise simply give them some time to get indexed.

How long does it take for links to get indexed if i dont use a paid tool or tier 2 links? (rough estimate is fine, it may vary)

How many tier 2 links do you need pointing to tier 1? And what kind of links would be tier 2 for a directory?

If you don't do anything, your links get indexed within 10-14 days.

4-5 tier-2 links are enough to index your tier-1 links. They just push search engines to quickly crawl your site. You can use easy to create links like comment links, forum links etc. for tier-2.

On a side note, you can find a few paid indexing services in Freebies/Giveaways section. You can also get free credits for testing some indexing services on BHW. These should be enough to index your links.

Hello Everyone, the same thing happens to me when i put backlink on subpage (partners page) .. could you kindly help to understand this?
